Philippians 4:6-7 says, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus”.

WEEK OF JANUARY 22, 2012

W. Perry - I need a prayer but more like a miracle. Right now myself, my wife and our two children have been treading water to keeps bills paid. This started about two years ago and it seems every time we take a step forward something big comes along and knocks us back two steps. We are on the verge of losing our home and trying to get caught up on the car payments. I lay awake just about every night worried how we are going to make the payment of around $1500 dollars owed for the house payment and $400 for the car. I have failed my family and know the papers will be filed any time. And it seems no matter how hard I work it is never enough. If we lose the home I am not sure what or where we will go. We need a miracle....

A. Weedon - Please pray for my mother and our family. Tonight she lost her brother in a very tragic way. We all are trying to come to terms with what happened and our hearts are heavy.

Suzanne - Hi and thank you for recent prayer. First I have a praise report. I asked you to pray that God would provide a home for 2 parakeets I had, but needed to get rid of due to living in an apartment. Thank You Jesus for quickly answering and opening a door for 2 little birds. Thank you for praying for me in this request. It is done :) Today please pray for me: I had blood work recently that came back normal for the areas that were checked. In the next week I have 3 tests to be done because I lost a lot of weight and have had problems swallowing. Please pray for my complete healing. Please continue to pray for Natalie my 10 year old, that she be so close to Jesus as she has asked him into her heart and she has already been through a lot because her dad and I have had a not good relationship.

B. Horn - My son is going through a divorce. They are both Christians and have 2 small children. I am standing for restoration but every time they get close it crumbles again. This battle has caused such anguish to me and my son and his children. Please help me pray. God bless you.

Anonymous - I need prayer that God will provide the money I need for college expenses. I also need prayer that my schedule will work out and that I will do really well with my college classes. Please pray that I will give up eating sweets and lose 80 lbs.

WEEK OF JANUARY 15, 2012

M. Jackson - Hi my name is Mia Jackson I like the church family to pray for my brother Brandon Cowan he is in jail right now and he is on trial at his last court date they called a mistrial. I believe that God has been working in my brother’s life through this difficult time in his life. Brandon is a very smart, caring, loving person that got caught up in the wrong things growing up he believes in God and has been having faith this threw this whole thing. He is facing allot of time and I just can’t bear to see him looked up for the time they are trying to give him I would like the church to pray that God becomes the lawyer and the judge also even the jury in his case that this will have a good outcome for your family his motions for court is in march and his trial date is scheduled to begin in April please keep my family in prayer. I also would like ask for the church to pray that my apartment comes through within this month there's been some issues were we are living at this time and I am praying that we will be able to move very soon we are just waiting for a apartment to come available to us. There is so much that needs prayer and I just need allot of it I will be attending college this semester to start my journey to become a RN and I need the church to pray that I will have the strengths through to get through the late nights and hard work. I ask the church to also pray for my boyfriend Darryl recently applied for a good job at the lube center and I pray that God blesses him with this opportunity he is a veteran and it's been really hard for him to get a Job it has been really taking a toll on him because he wants to support our daughter and our family. Anonymous - I need a financial miracle to get caught up on all my expenses. Please pray that i will be able to make ends meet. I want to buy a house to leave to my grandson and be able to pay for college for him.

Anonymous - I have started to have pain in my heart and I am worried that I may have a heart problem. Pray that I will lose at least 80 lbs and be much healthier. I weigh 239 and I am 5ft 4in. The weight is making me tired and lethargic all the time

G. Combs - Hi Bridgeway family could you please pray for my daughter in law. She has lupus and has had it for seventeen years. It has turned bad for her they are giving her chemo. The lupus has damaged her liver. She has never been a drinker of alcohol. She is not a believer in Christ this is my concern. Her name is Julie please remember her in prayer.

A. Phillip - Hello, my name is Allen and I have visited Bridgeway Community Church numerous times and have personally witnessed the profound power of prayer at BCC. I am currently dealing with 3 major issues that are detrimental to my future. These significant problems are the following: 1.) I am suffering a chronic disease known as Interstitial Cystitis, which is a severe inflammation of the bladder lining that has NO cure and have been dealing with this for over 4 years. 2.) I have been waiting for the restoration of my Dept. of Defense security clearance for a number of years. I lost my DOD clearance back in Dec. 2007. I pray that the Lord would grant me my security clearance again, so I can support myself and move forward with my DOD career. 3.) I am currently a member of the US Air Force Reserve and am scheduled to depart in 3 weeks for nearly a year for military training to support this war on terror, but I cannot perform my duties nor maintain being part of the USAF without my security clearance. I need prayer for the Lord to either postpone my training until I am granted a clearance or expedite my adjudication and grant me a clearance within the next week or so that I can sufficient time to prepare for my potential deployment. I would sincerely appreciate if my prayer request in its entirety can be brought to the entire church due to the urgency and serious nature of my request, specifically if any member may be able to assist me with my DOD clearance issues. My health has been precipitously deteriorating as well. I look forward to life-changing prayers and perhaps I can speak with someone as well. Thank you very much.

Suzanne - Hi and Thank you for your recent prayer. I asked that you would pray that the Lord would provide a new home for 2 little parakeets I had, and could not keep. The Lord answered this prayer within days the little birds are now going to be re-homed Thank You and Thank You Jesus for caring for even the 2 little birds. I am asking you now to please continue to pray for me my husband. He and I are not together. We were married in 1999. We never had a Christ centered marriage. Please pray that Natalie continue to grow ever closer to Jesus and please pray that the Lord continue to meet all Natalie and my needs as I am laid off, and a single mom and my husband will not give us monetary help.

R. Hernandez - My husband and I have been separated for a month and a week. Many times I have wanted to end my marriage because of what he has put me through over the years, not just the past 6 months. But I then remember why I married him in the first place and I know in my heart I don’t want to leave him or end my marriage. As of this moment it seems as though my marriage is dead. But I want God to heal and mend it. To make it the way it should be with JESUS as our foundation. But my husband has already left home. I asked him if he would consider wearing his wedding ring he said no. He has stated he does not wish to ever come back.

WEEK OF JANUARY 8, 2012

J. Smith - My daughter’s former coworker’s niece has been missing since Friday night, January 6th. She is 5 years old. They live in the Towson area. Please pray for her safe return and for the family as they deal with this difficult situation.

C. Jarvis - Hi my name is Jarvis and I need prayer...I am involved in a lawsuit and I have no legal help. The lawyer for the other people is good personal friends with the judge and they have decided to make me equal to a lawyer. I rented 3 bedrooms to a homeless woman in my 6 bedroom home. I wrote on the lease she was renting 3 bedrooms, but on another area of the lease it states exclusive use of single family home. The woman claims I changed the lease after she moved in. The woman wants my home and she is willing to say anything that is not true. I am having great financial problems and feel too bad to stand up in the church and accept money when it’s offered; instead I donate what I have in my pockets. I rarely impose on others for financial help until now. I love to give and help others. I love the Lord so very much because he loves me so much that I never really needed to ask for financial help in my life. I have been attending Bridgeway for over 10 years and love to worship more than anything in the world. I have been crying for over 5 months and had great difficulty falling to sleep; I have hope each day and I know now God loves me so much. I pray more than I ever did in my entire life. I love serving at the church because it helps me get away from my situation. I don't want any hand outs because I am physically healthy. I just need prayer and a lawyer to help with the true facts. I really don't want people to feel sorry for me because I know God gave me the most wonderful and best gift- his son... thank you so much for listening. I very sorry for writing so much. Please pray for me for a lawyer, financial help, and my home. God bless you all.

Kimberley - I need pray to restore my marriage if God sees fit. I have a disability hearing on 1/26/12, I need the decision to be in my favor. The pain that I've endures for about 20 years has gotten the best of me this year but, I'm patient. I've been through many trials and tribulations in the last year and a half. I steadily pray because I know Jesus has my back always. I know bountiful blessing are going to be bestowed upon me. Thank you Father....

J. Norton - My father's name is Oscar Norton. He has stage 4 colon cancer. The doctor's have given up hope but I still believe that God has the power to heal him. I have petitioned the Lord to remove the cancer from his body. I ask that the church family stand in agreement with me before the Lord that he might heal my father and give my family more time with him.

Suzanne - My name is Suzanne. I ask that you would pray for me today and also my husband signed some papers for a 10 minute divorce but in order to file the papers it costs 115 dollars. I am still praying for the Lords guidance, direction in all areas of my life, I seek the Lord and ask the Lord to CHANGE ME from inside out to help me walk the narrow path and learn to be as HE was in our earth to love people as HE did to view my trials and tribulations through HIS eyes.

Anonymous - Dear Church Family… I am requesting prayer for my husband and I regarding whether or not we should pursue adopting a child. Due to various circumstances, there has been both hope and apprehension on both of our parts for several years; however, God has not completely removed the desire from me to become a parent. I ask that you pray that God would resolve the anxiety of this situation and that He would reveal to us - individually and as a unit - whether this is the path that He would have us take. God has blessed me with a number of special children in my life that I am truly grateful for; however, I need to know God's will in this area so that we can finally move forward or close this particular chapter. C. Redmond - I would like prayer for good health and strength for the New Year. Prayer for James that he has good health, guidance and strength. I would also like to pray for protection in this difficult time that God stays with me in my heart and I know he has a plan for me at that he shows me the way.

J. Tanaka – Please pray for my mother’s health, especially that her pulse become normal, that she stop collapsing, stop getting urinary tract infections from the poor care. She is being malnourished. Please pray that she be restored. Please also pray that the false charges against me be dropped and that my mother and I are not separated.

Candace - I would like to submit a prayer request for Andrew. He has a court date on 1/6/12. I'm praying for the Lord to give him peace. He is a God fearing man, and I pray that he has peace to know it’s not up the Judge lawyers. God has the final say and he has already worked it out. Even though we may feel a little discouraged. We must stand tall in Faith and know that God has already worked it out. Andrew has 3 kids and 2 businesses that depend on him. Not including other family and friends who he has helped numerous of times. He has a caring and giving heart. I also pry that this situation will bring Andrew closer to Christ. May Andrew have Peace through his storm. Please also pray for me his Fiancé, that I have Peace and am able to stay strong and for Andrew. I already know that God has worked it out. Praise GOD!!! S. Bradley - For 2 years my next door neighbor has been a threat to the neighborhood. More so to me since I live next door to them. They've destroyed my property, spread rumors, gossip and lies on me around the neighborhood. The adult grandkids have their friends following and harassing me. I've used up every legal resource to resolve this, but these people WILL NOT STOP harassing me. I really don't know what to ask you and your church to pray for on this situation. I been praying on my own, but reaching out to every ministry I can for intercessory prayer on this seemingly never ending situation. It's that serious. I wish you could come out to my home and pray with me, you and members of your congregation. Powerful prayer warriors are needed on my request. I hope you take it seriously because it is. I know nothing is too hard for God. But alone this is too hard for me, Please pray on the Taylor Family and on the Braxton Family.

M. Fletcher - Please pray for my sister Deborah. Deborah suffers from chronic migraine headaches. Deborah has had this problem with migraine headaches for eight years. Thank you.

Suzanne - Thank You prayer partners: I am asking for prayer today for my husband. He is my 10 year old daughter’s dad. We have not had a good relationship. He is not living with us. I have sought the Lord for a clear answer and Gods perfect will and leading in how to resolve and be released from this man. He is into a lot. He made comments to me that his body was his and he could be involved with any type of relations he preferred including gay relations. I have been praying and released him to the Lord. I forgive him and I asked him to sign divorce papers yet he won’t. He drinks, he lies and he does not offer much in the way of supply for our daughter’s needs example food, etc.... I am asking that you will intercede and lift Rene to the Lord Jesus and pray that all bondage and demonic attachments be broken I pray that the Holy Spirit gently call him, I pray that his spiritual eyes be open, ears unstopped I pray that he come to a understanding of the reality of eternity the reality that he may come to know the love that Jesus has for him. Please keep the 3 of us in your prayers. Also please pray for my 20 year old daughter for her deliverance and also please pray as she goes to have 4 wisdom teeth removed. I appreciate you and I am so thankful for your prayers.

L. Parker - I have always been a somewhat private person, and it has always been difficult for me to express my feelings openly. I have never been happy with this personality trade. I say this because I need to step out of the boat to humbly ask for prayer for my father. Most of my life, I've had mixed feelings about my father, but over the past several months, I feel like God has been restoring our relationship, and helped me to understand my father in a way I formerly could not. Over the past year, my father was prescribed a medication to treat his prostate. The prescribed use of the medicine has weakened his heart and caused his legs to become swollen. Recently the fluid in his legs began to discharge from the skin. This week my father was hospitalized. They want to put a defibrillator in his heart. My father will be 80 years young, and prior to these recent events he has rarely ever been sick. Just last year he was playing touch football with some guys in their late teens and early twenties, and was out running them, scoring several touchdowns. Please pray for my father to be healed and restored. I feel like we have so much ground to make-up for. Thank you. May God bless and prosper all of my Bridgeway family.

C. Dougherty - A very close friend one mine has a mother suffering from cancer. She is currently at the ICU at the University of Maryland. Her name is Alma Robinson. I pray that the family stays strong and that they seek the Lord's strength and mercy through this challenging time. She has two sons, Dwayne and John Robinson, two daughter in-laws, Shadra and Izeta Robinson, and several grand children, nieces and nephews.

WEEK OF DECEMBER 18, 2011

Rebecca - Gabriel my husband left me again. This time he said it’s final. He is not giving in and coming back. He said he wants out for good. He listed the things he wants to take with him to his brother’s house. He let me know that he is going to see other people and just be free to live his own life. I’m still not working, I have no transportation, and he just got a raise and wants to spend all his money on pot. He doesn’t want to go to church any more or pray. He has these fits of rage and they scare me. He had a fit of rage yesterday, he left, blamed me, then text me it was over and told me what he wanted. I feel paralyzed and helpless. This time it feels so different. It really does feel final. He looked at me with hate in his anger. I have never seen him this way. He is at his brothers now. Please pray for him, and us. And if you have any advice to give me please do advise me I need it and prayer. I need spiritual guidance.

John - Please pray for my marriage. Communication, reconciliation, restoration, healing, peace, unity, love, unity and oneness in JESUS NAME.

B. Shepherd - One of my employees, Dawn, has been in chronic pain since July.  She is in so much pain, that she feels she cannot tolerate it any longer.  Her various doctors have not been helpful and she needs a healing prayer.  Please pray for her safe recovery.

C. Randall - I am asking the church to pray for Andrew. He's going through a situation right now and needs prayer. His faith is being tested, but he needs to continue to pray and keep the Faith. He is a wonderful God fearing man and is facing a scheduled event on 1/6/12. We pray that God will have his favor on that day and that Andrew keeps his faith and know that God has everything under control. God be the glory!

Suzanne - Hi today is Christmas Eve, and your prayer team has been praying for my previous prayer requests. Thank you for praying for me. Would you please pray for me today?  I have been seeking the Lord daily, I have been asking the Lord to talk with me and let me know if I have areas of my heart / life that I have not let go of. I give myself daily to the Lord. D. Cager - Please pray for me for a deeper spiritual walk with Christ.  I am an elder in my church and right now, I feel spiritually dry.  I need a prayer group because I would love to pray with others or a prayer partner.

T. Tobias - Hello… I greatly need prayer for my Grand Mother Bessie Thomas. She is hospitalized in New Jersey with a serious heart condition. I was recently informed that she has pneumonia and ab infection in her blood stream. Please pray that she recover. I know that her condition is serious. But she is a kind hearted, God-fearing Christian woman, who has done so much for others. Please pray that she recovers and that her health improves. She still has a lot to live for. Suzanne - Hi, I recently watched Pastor on TBN. I have sent one previous prayer request and you responded. THANK YOU. I want to ask you to pray for me, my name again is Suzanne,  I was laid off from my job at Walter Reed last Nov. 2010, I have been going through many seasons and situations and I trust the Lord is right by my side. I have lost very, very much weight I have really become thin , I have a new doctors appt for 12/19/11 and I wanted you to pray for this appt, for my new doctor, for my medical coverage to stay intact, I have been experiencing trouble swallowing food I only eat yogurts, soups, oatmeal all soft foods, I do not know if something is going on in my digestive system, my esophagus or any of the internal part of me that could be the root cause of all my lost weight. Would you please along with the saints at Bridgeway pray for me? I need my strength, my weight, my health so I can continue on when working again to have strength, please pray for my entire situations and I have 2 daughters one in college University of MD and one is only 10 they are Maret & Natalie. O. Walters - First of all, I want to give most sincere thanks to all of you for all of your assistance during the past couple of months. I have been hoping and praying to be a part of your congregation, soon. Your services are ever so touching and hit home with me. Moreover, I would love to serve the Lord as a member of your very talented band. Prayerfully, it will all happen soon, whenever I can find transportation to and from services, weekly.  At this time, I want to ask for your prayers as I try to resolve a potential legal matter involving damaged property of a friend and that I can find legal counsel for advice, in spite of being on a very limited income. So much is involved with this situation, and I have been under a lot of stress over seeking the right kind of advice on how I should handle the situation. Suzanne - Hi and first thank you for praying for me. Thank You for lifting me and all that concerns me to the Lord. I am grateful for your prayers. I am asking today for prayer for Rene', Gil and myself Suzanne and I have released and committed him to the Lord I have prayed and asked the Lord for forgiveness in the many years of knowing Rene' I need release, deliverance, He is currently involved with other people, he drinks, and is continually lying to me and our 10 year old daughter.  I pray and have a friend that prays with me for the salvation of Rene's soul as well as his deliverance.  Please pray for me, for him, for God's hand to move for God's will be done and that I may know exactly how to have a complete understanding of God's plan for this situation.  I pray for a spiritual break and soul tie break.  Thank you very, very much for praying for me in this area of my life.  Please continue to pray for Natalie our 10 year old she has Jesus in her heart and she has watched her dad Rene' in this lifestyle, I pray daily for Natalie and that her heart is in the Lords hands, she Knows Jesus.

Kelly – Please pray for our entire family because we are in the middle of selling our home and some property we’ve owned for 25 years to get out of debt and move forward to the new home the Lord has for us. Also please pray for my husband Jerry’s leg to be healed from a blood clot and swelling and pain he has in the left leg. Pray for our three adult children’s salvation and my husband’s salvation. Suzanne - Hi I had the opportunity to watch Dr. Anderson on TBN, I truly enjoyed his teaching.  I would like to ask any prayer partner to pray for me.  I am seeking the Lord Jesus with all my heart.  I am in seasons of life now, and ask that you would pray for me.  Pray also for my daughters Maret 20 years old is a student at University of MD, pray for Maret, pray for my daughter Natalie who is 10, please pray for Rene' and that I will clearly and direct hear God and his voice and know his will for my relationship with Rene' please pray for my mother Martha her friend that she lives with Gary, pray for my sister Tammy my two brothers Larry and Lee.

Ronald and Melissa - My husband and I need prayer about our apartment situation.  We have already put out money to hold an apartment that we are moving into next week and the apartment complex that we are living in now are saying that we have to pay an extra 2 months’ rent and some other fees because we never signed some paper that they supposedly said they sent out about renewed leases.  We already told the apartment that we were not renewing our lease and we never received anything in the mail about our lease.  We of course don't have the money to pay for 2 apartments and we need to move before we start school again in a few weeks.  We are asking for prayer that God will move on our behalf so that we will be able to move next without having to pay out more for the apartment we are in.  Thank you!

WEEK OF NOVEMBER 27, 2011

G. Lomax - Dear Church Family, I have a prayer request for two friends who have recently suffered loss in their families: Sylvia, a long time sister-friend, lost her father this evening. He was recently hospitalized after being diagnosed with cancer. Although he was released from the hospital over the Thanksgiving weekend, he was readmitted this evening and went home to be with our Lord. I don't have her father's full name since I've only ever referred to him as Mr. Dunn. He was 84 years old, lived in North Carolina and is survived by his wife and 7 children. Also pray for Amir, a young man in his early twenties, was found dead in his apartment in Baltimore on Friday evening. It appears he died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, but the investigation is ongoing. He grew up with & worked with my son at BJs Wholesale, and was the only son of his mother, Jackie. They are both members of Mt. Pisgah AME Church, my old church. I can't imagine her pain, but ask for your prayers as she wrestles with this tragedy. Thank you so much for your prayers. I know the work you do brings comfort to so many. Be blessed.

Sabrina - I need prayer on my ability to pass the LPN program final exam that will be the key to open doors to a new career and my long term goals. I need to have confidence in myself and my mind at peace and calm so that I may think wisely and critically while taking the final exam.

C. Slover - Me, my wife, and daughter are separated from each other with me in Florida and them in Michigan. We have no work or money and I just want to get back to my wife and daughter and provide for them again. All your prayers will be greatly appreciated.

Anonymous - Please pray that I will lose all the weight I need to lose; about 85 lbs. I need to be healthy and energetic to work full time and finish college.

A. Ingram - I need prayer for employment. I have a job that they are debating whether or not I should be there because I have no prior experience or a work history. I also have been offered to start a bible study at a small shelter. That is my heart, passion, and purpose but it's a volunteer position and I pray that they would hire me. I believe with all my heart that is my call from the lord is to share my testimony everywhere. Whatever God wants me to do ultimately is where I’m going to end up. T. Mack - Update: Hi Prayer team my CT scan results were NEGATIVE for any cancer outside of the original site of the left breast tumor. PRAISE GOD, PRAISE GOD, PRAISE GOD!!!!!. I had my first chemo treatment last week and I feel fine. My incisions are healing well and I'm trying to get in some daily exercise. Please continue to lift me up as well as my family in prayer during this time. Thank you for your continued love and support.

She feels that her friends have abandoned her but she just refuses to take advice from any of us. She calls us only when things are at their worst. Although we've reached out to her, invited her to church and prayed with her, she still seems brainwashed by her boyfriend. She says she appreciates us being there for her, but all that we do for her, we have not seen any improvement or change in her. F. Hiteshew - Dear Bridgeway Family, please pray for my mother Nannie. She is in Howard County General hospital with an infection in her right leg along with low blood pressure. She is on major antibiotics and pain medication. Please pray for my father John Garrett who is also suffering from advanced complication with diabetes and neuropathy in his extremities. Please pray for me and my family. As an only child, I will have to make some difficult decisions concerning the care of my parents. I am prayer for God's grace, mercy, and guidance as I make these decisions.

Anonymous - I need prayer to be released from a bad work situation. My boss assigns too much work for me and it leaves me very exhausted and irritated. Meanwhile, my coworkers lay around resting. I pray that I will get a better job and be happier. Pray also that I will have money for Christmas gifts and to be able to buy a house soon. I am tired of living in an apartment.

Deborah - My mom just received a call that the assisted living place that her mom (my nana) has been living in had their license pulled and they have to move her mom by the end of the month. Her money has almost completely gone and my parents will most likely have to have her come back and live with them. My nana has been on and off of hospice for the last several years. She has early onstage dementia and is completely gone in ways of communication, recognition, mind, and the ability to do anything for herself. My parents cannot really take on this "burden" though they have no other choice. We don't know how to pray. Whether for finances, the ability to manage my nana, or for God to take her home. She has no quality of life and we just want what God wants for her. We covet your prayers and appreciate you praying on my families behalf

A. Baxter - We have received an eviction notice from our landlord. We need a prayer for our finances. We have a 9 month old miracle infant in our home and have nowhere to go. We just ask for your prayers. Thank you very much and GOD bless you all.

T. Mack - I was diagnosed with breast cancer about a month ago and I am currently recovering from surgery. I will meet with my doctors on Tuesday to discuss the chemotherapy plan and the results of a ct/pet scan I had recently. Please pray for a positive meeting. R. Johnson - I just return from California after being diagnosis with early stage of ALS. I attended

K. Hussey-Remolde - My family just found out this weekend that my niece has been using drugs for years and is addicted to prescription pills. We had no idea. She has left my sister's home and we haven't heard from her since Friday night. Please pray for the softening of her heart, that she will see what she is doing is wrong and ruining not only her life, but her family as well. Also for discernment as my sister and brother-in-law and the rest of us process how bad this actually is and how we proceed from here. Give strength and comfort to her parents and siblings as they live this nightmare. Thank you.

B. Reese - Good afternoon… Two friends and I will be starting a worship service at a men's emergency shelter in Catonsville in January. My request is for God's guidance and the Holy Spirits leading as we continue to prepare to share the message of Christ's love and share the words of salvation for these gentlemen. Pray for our ability to speak His word in a manner pleasing to Him and in a way that the seed will be planted deeply into their hearts to instill hope in them.

Kait - I would ask that my brothers and sisters at Bridgeway would lift up the roughest situation in a while. I hit a large male deer on Sunday 11/6/11 on a major freeway. My car stopped in the middle of the freeway and I had to run across the freeway so I was not in the idle car if someone hit it. Thankfully, God provided me with a shield of safety and I walked away without bad scratch. My car is an entirely different story. I have been struggling financially for the last year. I had not been able to pay my car insurance for the last 4 months. As a result, my insurance is assuming zero responsibility for the damages. I am asking that God would bless me with the means to resolve this situation in whatever way he shows me is best.

Anonymous - My wife Wendy recently visited the doctor and got an indication that she may have some rather severe new health issues. I pray that God perform another miracle in her life and remove any of those health issues. I pray that when the Doctor's results are provided in a week or so that they are negative test results. J. Fenwick - My Family and I need somewhere to live. We can't live where we are now and we are not finding anything that we can afford. We are a Family of 8 which makes are options limited. Boler - Hello Bridgeway family I am asking that you all help me in prayer regarding whether my mother should have surgery on her rotor cuff she is a brittle diabetic and has other medical issues, the doctor says depending on how bad the tear is will tell how long her recovery will be. My mother came to visit me April 9, 2011 and was never able to return home to Detroit because of her health issues so she now lives with me. She has to take 3 insulin shots a day and this surgery will have her somewhat limited with one hand and having me do almost everything. I am a single mother of a 16 year old son (that’s a handful) and my mother will need lots of my attention but I have to work. I don’t have anyone here in MD to help me with my mother. This seems so selfish but at the same time how will my mother manage while I work and what happens if surgery is worse. Please again pray that I move the way God wants me to and not my fears…her surgery is scheduled November 16, 2011.

Anonymous - Recently I have been going through various transitions in my life. I grew up in a household that was never very religious. Over the past few months, I had really felt like something was missing in my life. I yearned for a deeper connection with God, and then I met a Bridgeway partner who invited me to a service. I have not missed a Sunday since! I thank God for her and pray that he continues to bless her. She has truly been a blessing to me. I am between jobs after leaving an unhealthy work environment that led to very bad anxiety. Although I no longer feel the anxiety from my job, now I stress over being able to pay my bills. Please pray that I find a new place of employment with a good company. Please pray that I continue to build this relationship with God and learn to trust him with all of my heart. Please pray that my boyfriend also learns to trust God and gives his life over to Christ.

A. Davis - I am doing my masters in Italy and I am having a really hard time. I ran out of money and I have been deeply depressed to the point that it has affected my school work. I know that God will help me through this but it would mean a lot if I could get some prayers because I don't even know how I am going to feed myself next week.

Sabrina - I am in a very dark place right now. I lost my job over the summer and I will be out of money by the end of December. I have no idea how I will take care of my teen age daughter after the year ends. I am feeling so low. I want to pray but I can't pray. I just feel so sad and I have no joy anymore. Every day I think about ending it all. I don't know how much longer I can hold on. If I'm not angry I am sad. This is no way to live and I am so tired of dealing with it every day. Cecilia and Mauricio Campos - Hi, I am Cecilia Campos and my husband Mauricio Campos are in this moment in our Country El Salvador we came last Friday October 14 and we are going back this Saturday October 22.I want to ask you for a two prayer request. The first one is for our Country El Salvador and all of Central America. There has been a tropical Storm and for many days and the rain does not stop, and the rivers are over flow, the bridges are broken and the roads too. Many people lost everything and they are in shelters. The second prayer request is for my mother-in low she is 88 years old and she is sick, and last Friday she fell down. Leticia - Hello, I am asking that you would pray with me in regards to two things. 1. My father, Nelson, was diagnosed with prostate cancer last October. After going through surgery, he was cleared of any remaining cancer. Lately he's been having some urine infections, and is losing some weight. The doctor has sent him to get a chest x-ray, which makes no sense to me. Please pray with me that Cancer would not enter into my father’s body again. He is also very depressed as he is retired and is always home constantly letting his mind run. 2. I have been having some pain in the right side of my stomach that travels up and down. My doctor thought it was my gallbladder, but it checked out fine. I just pray that they would find the cause and that it would not be anything malignant. Thank you for your support and prayers.

D. Chambers - I am a single parent trying to raise my pre-teenage son into a strong, respectful man. I am not a churchgoer and was not raised with a religion, but for some reason Christianity was the religion that area youth groups and mentors instilled upon me. My biggest fear of church was being rejected or feeling like I am not a member, I have bad experiences with churches before and just pray that I am accepted this time around. I gave my life to GOD at the age of 9 but unfortunately I did not comply as I should have. I am now 30 and realized that in order for my life to be holy I need to be saved and my son too. Please pray that my son and I are not denied or rejected at the church and that we are welcomed with open arms, I really need GOD in my life in order to make it and my child needs him too, please pray that we can praise and respect GODS commands and are dedicated to opening up to him and our new church family! C. Gutierrez - Hi! I am seven weeks pregnant. 2 weeks ago I started spotting and my baby’s heart beat was low in the ultrasound. My HCG levels were also low and not multiplying every 24 hours like they are supposed to. They talked to me several times to abort because my pregnancy was going to miscarry anyways, but I don’t believe in abortion. Today they did another ultrasound and they said that my baby does not have a heart beat and that my body would naturally miscarry the baby in a couple of weeks. But I know that God can make a miracle and make my baby’s heart beat again and put all his organs in order. Thank you!!!!

Leticia - Hello, I am asking for prayer for my husband’s grandfather. His name is Vincent Lowe, and he is 89 years old. He has been in and out of the hospital lately, and he is not doing very well. The doctors say his vital organs are shutting down, and they are sending him to hospice to live out his last days. We are asking that you would join us in prayer to declare that he continues living. That he would get out of that bed in the name of Jesus and continue living on. I just feel like because he is the age that he is, they have kind of stopped caring for him and said, "hey, he's lived a long life". Please pray with me, for him and for the family to be strong as everyone is already declaring his death date, but I do not accept it. Thank you!

L. Streeter-Childress – Hi! You all have been praying for my dad, Ed Streeter, for a few years now. He had a scan this week and found (good news) that his lungs and remaining kidney are clear; the bad news is that the tumor (where his removed kidney was) has grown; he also has cancer in lymph nodes (we have known this for awhile). D. Ross - Yes, I do. I am trying desperately to look for a job. Currently, I am working a part-time job. I am working 7 days a week 1:24 minutes a day. I make low pay. I can't pay my bills. I am thankful I am working. In this economy this is better than nothing. I need a job working 30 hours a week. I am in school fulltime so I don't want to work fulltime. I just need work that is something I enjoy. I have to work this job, but I don't enjoy it. I try to do my job as to the Lord, and I try to do a good job. I am behind in rent and my other expenses. It is very depressing trying to find and each time I get rejected because they do a background check and check my credit. How can I do something with my credit when I am not working enough to pay anything but my telephone bill?

Karen - I ask for prayers for my daughter who had a spiritual attack about 18 months ago and has had to deal with extreme anxiety as a result of it.  The anxiety has caused her severe insomnia, stomach problems and lately her hands have started shaking.  She is saved and we both pray constantly for protection and the elimination of the anxiety and all the ailments it has caused.  We would attend TNP, but she has a class on Tuesday nights.  Thank you, dear warriors.

M. Anderson - Please pray for our son. He is 15 and for the past 5-7 years, he has been going through a change, but not for the better. He is withdrawn, very quiet and won't speak loud enough for us to hear him anymore. When he speaks, he speaks under his breath and purposely won’t speak loud enough for us (his parents) to hear him. His looks have even changed to where he looks angry/mean most of the time. In a nutshell he seems lifeless and not there. We are very concerned about him. Things came to a head tonight and he decided to leave. Please pray that he will come back home with a clear since of who he is in Christ. Forgot to mention he is saved. Please pray for his protection. We love him very much and something is not right with him. We try to talk to him all the time and encourage him but he Is not responsive. Please pray...

K. Perry - This is an S.O.S! My family's only vehicle is so broken and we don't have money to fix it. The problems that our van has are overheating, no compression and won't go more than 15 miles per hour. All four brakes are worn out and the rear tires are smoking. As you can imagine, we won't be able to get to work. Please pray!

C. Marrow - Please pray for Rudy Lashley, husband of Bridgeway partner/attender, Glenda Lashley. Cancer has returned and metastasized in Rudy's lungs. Rudy and Glenda are Christians and know that God has the ultimate say. Rudy cannot take chemotherapy again but the doctors have to determine whether he can have radio frequency oblation or not. Emma - Please pray that God will anoint my hand to perform my skills as a CRNA. I have been struggling with getting intubations and I know God can fix anything.

D. Myers - I’m am 20 years old I live in Lebanon, PA and I guess the reasoning for this is I was always taught growing up to seek God when in need of help. A few months ago I was in an abusive relationship when I found the strength to leave I had to start everything all over by myself help from no one. I work 2 jobs and I was trying to go to school this fall. I don’t know what else to do at this point. I feel as though I can’t do this too much longer without sleep on most days and other stressing how each bill will get paid or if I will have enough change to do my laundry or to even buy a shampoo or toothpaste. Please pray.

E. Char - Please pray for us - my husband and I found out that we were pregnant naturally a few weeks ago after a series of infertility treatment and one miscarriage. We were overjoyed. Last week during our 6-week checkup, there was no heartbeat and the doctor told us that we would miscarriage. We went back to for another examination yesterday (just before the schedule surgery), a slow heartbeat was found but again, we are still at very high risk of miscarriage if the baby doesn't pick up the speed. We're due for another examination next Tuesday, please pray for us and the baby will have strong heartbeat to survive. We know it is in God's hand and we can only pray and pray.

L. Serafini - I am asking for prayer for my grandmother, Ethel who is in hospital. She is scheduled to have a bone scan today to see if her pain is from cancer in her spine. My grandmother is almost 92 and one of the strongest, giving women I've ever known. Her pain is extreme and began after a fall 14 days ago. The doctors still aren't sure of the cause. In 2004, by the Grace of God was healed of colon cancer. I am asking for our Lord the Great Physician for healing, strength, courage and restoration as I believe in His Great Works.

L. Serafini - I am asking for prayer for my daughter, Autumn as she is going through a program of detoxing from drug addiction. I am praying for the Lord to draw her near to Him, to heal, strengthen, transform and direct her steps. The other day he said "It seems like the more I do right the harder things get"

J. Fenwick - Currently, my Husband Mike, is in the Telemetry unit @ Easton Memorial Hospital. He has been suffering from stomach discomfort for a little over a week. Early Monday morning I brought him to the Hospital. He was admitted with a heart rate of 40 bpm & what they think is a hemangioma. It is now Weds. & despite lots of testing, nothing more is known. His liver enzymes went up again today & they don't think the tumor is the cause. Overall he seems to be doing okay. His main complaint is stomach discomfort & weakness. As far as the kids are concerned they are worried & they miss him. I did manage to bring one with me today. Because we are so far away from the Hospital & financially we can't afford to travel back & forth, the kids have to stay home with each other. So, in addition to prayers for Mike, I am requesting prayers to keep my children safe while I am with their Dad. Of course, these things never happen when all is well. This week @ work was crucial for Mike. I am unemployed & we are behind with our bills & we were praying that he would be able to have a good week @ work (he sells cars). Mike has been working non-stop even though he has not felt well. Goes in early, stays late & works on every scheduled day off. I don't want him to worry about not being able to provide for us right now. Five of the kids will be starting school on the 25th. We have done some in preparation for that but, we still have a lot more to do. Thanks to Donna Michener & Bridgeway I was able to pick up some school supplies; every little bit helps :-) Thank you in advance for your prayers & for those who already pray for us.

M. Smith - Hello, I am asking for prayer for overcoming fear and fully having trust and faith in God. I am about to start my 2nd semester of nursing school in a week and I am working full-time. My boss said I would have to drop down from my position because of school and I don't know if that means drop in pay and I know less hours. Not working full-time also means no health insurance and I need to have that while in school. I still have to pay for school and other bills I have. I am trying to keep faith and trust in God and giving Him this whole situation but it feels like I keep trying to take it back. Anonymous - My daughter has an extremely difficult personality to deal with. Help me to have patience and understanding when dealing with her. She makes things difficult unnecessarily. Please also pray that I will have money left over after I pay my college tuition this semester. I am trying for several scholarships and need a financial blessing.

N. Richards - Thank you for your prayers in the past. I was laid off from my job and I got a job offer. I start on August 22nd. Please ask God for me to get my public trust clearance. I need that clearance or I'll be fired from the new job. Please pray I get the clearance and I'm happy at my new job and I'll be at that company until I'm ready to leave. Thanks again.

C. Clarke - Thank you for all the prayers you've given me in the past. I'd like you to please pray for the devil to stop attacking my mind and thoughts. This has been happening for awhile. I've prayed about it and it has gotten better but it scares me and I would like God to release me from these demonic attacks. Thanks again for your prayers.

R. Condillac - My wife and I, and our four month old son live in Oakland Mills in Columbia. We recently received correspondence from the bank of their intent to foreclose. I have not made a mortgage payment since January. We have applied for help through the Emergency Mortgage Assistance Program, and I am requesting your prayers. I also would like a prayer for the Lord to transform me into a better husband and provider for my family. Both my parents have illnesses and I would like prayer for a cure and for healing. M. Sterrett - I am in a horrible custody battle. Please pray the judge will hear my children's situation and they will be able to have relationships with both parents and restore relations with the extended family. Please pray the ugliness will end soon and the hate will stop so my children can stop being used and injured and begin healing.

R. Richardson - I don’t even know how this works but I was born Beautiful and I’ve been being ugly for a very long time. I have become a monster and it has I have to change. D. Dixon - My brother in law Dan Durham is in the Suburban Hospital ICU. The doctors have said he will not live but I know we have a God of miracles. Pray God's will and that many who are unbelievers will see our mighty God at work.

Valerie - Please pray for my brother-in-law John. He has had a major stroke on Thursday (7/28/11) and is unable to talk or walk without support. He is still in the hospital in Georgia with his wife (my sister) by his side. They ran tests today and found a major blockage in his neck and want to run more test but he is so weak my sister asked them to give him a break. She is trying to be supportive but it's very difficult. She knows the power of prayer and is very familiar with the power of the Bridgeway Prayer Support family.
Please pray for a speedy recovery for him and strength for my sister. We all know God is able!!!

S. Frisby - Please pray for my marriage-legally separated. My son is getting ready to go to High School. My home is in foreclosure.

Anonymous - Please pray for my daughter. She has disregarded all of her Christian upbringing and I doubt that she is even saved. I need everyone to pray for her salvation and that she will become a mature person. Her father abandoned her when she was small and I think it’s the source of all her problems. D. Dixon - Please keep my sister, Joan in prayer. She is in the decision to turn off life support of her husband and when to turn it off and not feel pressured by anyone. Her husband is 45 years old with liver and kidneys shutting down. Thank you.

J. Cabule - Please pray for my churches prayer line to become stronger in the spirit of the Lord. We will be celebrating a year of having a prayer line in a few months. I am praying that it continues to be a source of our witnessing for those in need.

H. Fowler - I am in need of prayer. I got married about a year and a half ago. It was a very small wedding. The first year and a half has been a little rocky, but the Lord has sustained my husband and me, praise God, and we have endured :-). It's getting smoother. In May, we found out that I was pregnant. It had been a nice pregnancy, not a lot of sickness, etc… Well this week we have found out that, through an amniocentesis, which is a test that measures down syndrome in babies, that our baby has down syndrome. (*This was the first half of results of the test that have come back)… The second round of results come next week. I was shocked and upset with this news. I know that God loves all children, but I am really hoping and believing that this child will be born perfectly normal and healthy. Will you please pray this for me? Also, pray that our baby's chromosomes be normal. God says that when we believe we will receive whatever we ask for in prayer. Thank you for reading and praying over these prayer requests.

Anonymous - The last few years have been very hard on me, and since coming to Bridgeway, it has taken a turn for the better. My increasing faith has rewarded me with a new home and great friends and relationships. However, I still have financial difficulties that continue to bother me. I ask that you pray for me to have the patience I need to get through, and that I will do what GOD requires of me to deal with this issue. Thank you!

Anonymous - I need prayer for healing in my circulation and weight loss. I am experiencing many problems related to my dependency on junk food. Pray that I will be able to beat my addiction to bad foods. Also I am having problems getting my daughter to be a responsible adult. She refuses to do things she needs to do in order to become independent. She has tried also to get a good job and has not been hired. Pray that someone will give her a chance and that she will be successful in life. I also am trying to save money for college and to buy a house to pass on to my grandson and daughter. Pray that I will be disciplined in my spending habits and be healthy enough to work toward my goals.

R. Johnson - I ask that you pray for me, because I feel like I made one bad decision, and been paying for it ever since.  I resigned from my job in 2008, shortly after having my son to spend more time at home.  Not too long after that, my money ran out, and my son's father and I were arguing on regular bases.  I have been looking for a job ever since, and on top of that, I lost my car, had to move in with relatives that really don't want my company, and currently cannot work even if I wanted to, because I have no childcare for my son.  My son's father is in another state, and has been able to free himself of the trouble I am going through with trying to get a job and find daycare at the same time. My son's father has found a job, and does not have to worry about finding my son childcare, or worrying about if I get a job who will watch my son.  Every day, my eldest son calls and asks me did I get any calls for an interview? Or do I have any interviews this week? When it gets to that point, you know it is starting to affect your children.  I have always been a good mother, and often reminisce on the days of my independence and the things I would do for my kids. This is why I am unhappy with my situation, and my life, and wonder...when will it ever end for me? Pain, suffering, and feeling like I am a loser, because I cannot take care of my children anymore.  I see people I graduated with, and feel embarrassed.  There are so many areas physically, financially, and circumstantially that I need help in.  I am seeking the lord, and just need someone once a week to help me get to know him.  I don't have any money, nor a care to get to church.  All I want for my children and myself is a better life and stability.  Please pray for me.  Thank you.

Anonymous - First I'd like to say that I am a believer but have fallen. My mind for the past few months has been stricken with negativity, indecisiveness, and depression. I feel alone and I don't want to burden the people I love with my emotional baggage, even though I know that they would be there for me. S. Jeffreys - Actually, I am reaching out asking for prayer over a very special friend of mine and her family. This week Tina's father and grandfather went home to be with the Lord. While she knows that both are in a much better place and neither is suffering any longer with the pains of cancer, they were both a very important part of her life. The journey through the illnesses of both of these men has provided a time of growth for her and her family. However, losing both, just hours apart from each other, has been extremely heart breaking. So I ask for prayers of strength, peace and comfort for Tina, her Mom, her sister and all the family and close friends of both of these amazing men.

K. Kratz - I am requesting prayers for myself. I have been experiencing a lot of anxiety lately surrounding making a decision about my work status. In addition, I am requesting prayers for my son Gage's health.

C. Smith - My family has recently faced a very heartbreaking moment in our lives. My parents want to get a divorce. This decision has started to leave a scar on my life. My mother says that she is tired of my father's irresponsibility, and his lack of financial support. My father believes that my mother is hard to please, and lacks the ability to forgive him of his mistakes. I think that both of my parents share the blame. My mother has protected and spoiled my father financially his whole life, and now when it's time for him to be a man and support his family during this troubled economy, he fails to follow through. My father has taken advantage of my mother's finance and fortune, and allowed her to remove the liability that most men are responsible for such as paying bills, running errands, protection, and playing a fatherly role in his children's lives. The worst part of the situation is that neither is willing to communicate and forgive one another of their foolishness. Instead, they separate from each other in the house, refuse to speak, gossip about one another behind their back to their children, and take part in other childish games. I believe that this lack of communication has set a bad example for me, as well as my siblings. I’m writing this letter to you to ask for a simple prayer that will touch my parent’s hearts and give them the strength to talk to one another and settle out their differences accordingly and peacefully. I fear that my mother will throw my financially-troubled father out of the house and into the streets where he'll have no way of providing for himself. I also feel that my mother will become depressed and lonely from the thought of losing her husband over something as petty as finances. I believe that when there's a will, there's a way. Although my parents lack the will, I pray that God will have mercy upon our family, and keep us together regardless of my parent’s blindness. Next year will be my last year living with my parents before I head to college, and I would like to leave knowing I can return to a happy and healthy home.

M. Lucas - My co-worker Connie just found out that her sister whose name is Ann may have Lung Cancer. She is going to Kentucky to be with her and her family for the next few weeks while they learn exactly what the illness is and how bad it could be. Please keep her family in prayer. She and her husband are both believers in Christ - so I am praying for Jesus' guidance and strength for them during this time. I need prayer for a large SharePoint implementation project I am doing at work which needs to be finished by August 5. I need help seeking God first and casting my worries on his shoulders. I also would appreciate a prayer for a hedge of protection for my wife (Allison), kids (Jennifer & Kaj) Mom (Estell), Sister (Kim), sister-in-law (Ruth), her son (Renaco) and my mother-in-law (Cecelia).

C. Chapman - I'd like to extend a prayer request to all of those in need of God's great healing and mercy. To let them know that they are not alone in their struggles and to remain faithful and give God all the praise for their blessings. I'd also like to request a prayer for the family and friends of Mr. Jim O'Conner, who went home this week to his Lord and savior, and that they may take comfort in knowing that he is at peace.

Judy - I praise and thank God. I relocated to the DC/MD/VA area two months ago to pursue a career in the Non Profit sector. God has continued to use me as His hands and feet to minister to others as an Evangelist by getting involved in Non Profit initiatives helping orphans and widows according to James 1:27. My prayer request is that He will open doors for me and bless me with a job according to His will and also give the ministry He has called me into lasting working supportive partnerships that help the needy in our communities. I am also believing God for direction in the business ideas He has given me and for divine direction and connections and for the right partnerships. I am also believing God to provide me with reliable transportation so that I can attend Church in person. I am also believing God for a good born again spirit filled man of God as a life-time partner who I can submit to according to Ephesians 5:22-33 and who can love me as his wife as Christ loves His bride which is the Church. K. Olivares - My stepmother and I are in conflict over problems between her and my dad. He has held it in over the course of their entire relationship, but he shares how he feels with my brother and me. Mostly me. There is a lack of trust on his part because of some things that she has done to take advantage of him. Now, it has come to a head and she is holding me responsible. She believes that I have sewn seeds of conflict between them. Ironically, enough I have gone to bat for her behind the scenes to include advocating communication between them rather than my dad trying to get a divorce. My stepmother is unaware of this and has just been awful towards me. She has even tried to place a wedge between my brother and me. This hurts a lot because she knows that it took a long time for my brother and me to develop a relationship because of a lot of family issues we had to get past. Please pray for my family. We are also trying to cope with my father’s health problems as well so this conflict doesn't help an already hard situation.

N. Ward - Marla Cralley, server on the Bridgeway "Care Team", was taken to the Howard County General Hospital's emergency room today, July 5, 2011. It is believed that she had a stroke or a seizure while in the passenger seat of her daughter, Christi Fogle's, car earlier today. Please lift Marla and her family up in prayer for her healing and for their comfort and strength during this very difficult time.

Stacey - I pray for God to work in my marriage. I pray that God would change me and my husband and if it's His will to save my marriage. I'm tired from fights, arguments, wrong words to each other, I'm just so tired, I just want to know if it's God's will for my marriage to be. If not I want divorce. So I pray for God to show me His plan for me and my marriage.

S. Jenkins - My dad, Ken is scheduled for back surgery next week. In the meantime, other health issues have come up that need taken care of prior to surgery. Please keep my dad, mom (Martha) and family in prayer.

R. Oliphant - My wife and I request prayer for Faye, a very close Christian friend - she's like family. She needs a lung transplant immediately; can only use 1/4 lung capacity. Her condition was diagnosed about 4 or 5 years ago and deteriorated since. She has undergone many exams and tests without remedy. The doctors have given her less than 2 years to live without a transplant. She's on a 2-year waiting list. Even though she lives with family in VA, my wife has been her best outlet for encouragement, comfort, prayer, sharing scripture, and plain ol' listening. Faye even considers me her big brother - and me likewise, my sister; that's how close our families are!

V. Guerra - I am asking for prayer that the Lord release me from the anxiety, worry, and pain I have been experiencing. I am struggling with giving my worries and issues to God to solve. The enemy is right here trying to intervene as God does his work in my life. I know this is something that I must get through and overcome but I need help! S. Mosley - I am currently in the middle of a custody dispute over my four year old son. His mother and I were never married, and I constantly have to defend my rights as a father. I was awarded joint custody of him last February, and she is trying to take me back to court to get sole custody again, after it failed the first time. For the last few years I have struggled with fighting with her on a weekly basis, and I just want some peace and consistency for myself and my son. He deserves to have a fulfilling and good life and I am at my wits end on how to end the constant tug of war he is being placed into. He is such an amazing little boy, so smart and charming; I just want him to have the very best. I confess my relationship with God wasn't always the first priority for me in the past few years. Before my son was born I drank heavily and used marijuana and had many sexual partners. But since he has come into my life, my heart changed, and recently he's been asking me about Jesus. How he died? And, I realized that it was time for me to reconnect myself with my faith in Christ. Out of the mouths of babes as they say. It is very difficult for me to humble myself before strangers and relay the sins of my past. But I also know that it is required of me in order to be a Godly man and set the example that I want for my son. God is calling me to Bridgeway. I came here twice in the early part of 2000 and 2001, when service was held at HCC and again for the first time in ten years this past Sunday. Please keep me and my son in your prayers as we fight to stay together.

Anonymous - Please pray that my family’s marriages will last. My brother in law will not change his ways and they may divorce. He is very old fashioned and will not try counseling. Pray that he will decide to fight for his marriage. My sister also is very unhappy and disconnected from the family. She really needs severe prayer!

Donna - My husband left me and I am burdened with a mortgage we both agreed to pay. He said he wanted to move on. I now have the house up for sale. I need prayer that my house would sell because I can't afford it by myself and I don't want my credit to be damaged. I would like prayer for my husband, that he would draw closer to God and have his eyes open to the things he is doing that are not pleasing to God.

Grace - Please pray that the purchase of a short sale house goes quick and successful.

M. Smith - My sister has been a stay at home mom for the last 14 years to an autistic child. A year ago her husband and she separated and the agreement was that he would continue to pay the bills until they had a written agreement in court. My sister had to move into a 2BR apartment with her 2 daughters and infant granddaughter. A few months in, the agreement wasn't being met and it’s been a struggle getting the bills paid. She was left with no car as it was repossessed. Her daughter needs constant supervision so it’s been extra hard for her to try and find employment. The short of the long of it is that she is now being evicted and she has an $800 electric bill that she can’t pay. I have been keeping her above water for a year but her only resource (me) has been used all up. We have contacted Energy Assistance, Howard County social services, and Grass Roots but have been told she doesn't qualify for anything since she isn't legally divorced. I'm assuming they go according to her soon to be ex husband’s income. Her court date isn't until late July and I can’t sustain them any longer. I know that we are not members of the church but we are believers. If this email serves for any purpose at least we can have your church praying for her and her girls. My sister’s name is Monica. I don't know if your church does community services but if there is any assistance that you could offer, it would be such a blessing. I don't want her family to be split up any more then what it has been already.

M. Sterrett - Please pray for Carla's mother Mary in New Jersey. She is suffering from a terminal illness and will be having surgery so she can eat without getting sick. Also please pray for Carla and her mother is her rock and Carla is just heartbroken.

Warren - My family and I are in great need of a minivan. I have been praying for more than two years for a miracle and nothing has happened. I work very hard as a contractor for the government, and just need help with trying to get a larger auto for my family. Now my credit is less than stellar, but I am a hard worker. If there is anyone out there who knows of a very nice car dealership that will work with me in purchasing a minivan please help. I know that God is looking after me and my family, but we are in dire need of a larger auto. Please pray for us. Thank You.

N. Richards - I just found out yesterday that my position will be eliminated at the end of the year. Please pray that I will find a job before the year ends. Please pray that I will make a lot more money than I was making before and I will really like my job, manager, co-workers and it will be a healthy work environment. M. Crouse - Hi my name is Melissa Crouse I am in need of prayers. I just started working and I need a new place to because the place that I currently stay my daughter is not allowed to live with me unless I move. I have been lucky that your church has agreed to pay my car insurance and my cell phone bill which I am very thankful. Now I have to figure about rent and or a new place to live. My car has been broken for 10 days and it was fixed today however I have to pay my mother back of the money. My brother passed away on April 21st

Leticia - Hello, my family and I currently have our home on the market to be sold. We are planning to move to Florida, where my family currently resides. The house has been on the market for three weeks now, and we have gotten very little interest. Please pray with me. I am super depressed by being so far from my family, and I really want to raise our baby near our family. But right now, things are just not looking so on the up side. We have reduced the price on our home, and now our realtor is asking us to do it again. I do not want to do anything that God doesn't want us to do. L. Burton - Life is hard. Ever since Bridgeway has helped m family in keeping our house, I have been attending every Sunday. Sadly, the devil adds more and more obstacles in my way. I pray for hope, wealth, and happiness for my family. As our marriage tends to hit troubling waters, we are soon to have no car. I thank her mother for allowing us to use the car, but since she barely have much money for a new or even used one due to being in debt, times get harder. I ask everyone to pray from my daughter who was last seen at Bridgeway on mother's day who now has a cast. My wife, for being overjoyed of everyone who gave money to help us pay our rent. To my son who has the croup, because we cannot afford a baby sitter, and to my wife, though we have problems and she still can't really comprehend most of the poor choices she is making. I ask the people of Bridgeway to help my family not me. I would rather suffer to ensure my family lives on. They mean more to me then I do myself. I pray for so much, and all I can do is ask, and wait. Things that don't happen I have to pray harder. The main thing I pray for is to be out of debt so I can start a new life for my family the way I have planned for years, but cannot seem to get out of the whole I have dug. Mimi- Please stand in agreement for deliverance and healing regarding my boyfriend Luis. Luis had 3 major impacts in his life which began in early childhood. Unwanted by his mother, Luis was forced to reside in several abusive foster care homes awarded by the state of New York. Please stand in agreement for deliverance, and a daily renewal of Luis's spiritual mind & heart, as well as healing. Only God can change him. I believe in my heart that God will bring him out of this completely and use him as a testimony for others.

Minique - Please pray and stand in agreement for justice is given to me. I speak justice in my life for all my suffering, endurance, the hurt, abuse by others, the conflict, misused, and mistreated. All the money that's been stolen from me by misrepresentation from business, organization, vendors, people, friends & family, etc. My financial portfolio has under gone a strain at the present time. God said be a cheerful giver which I have done. Now I am requesting that my store house be filled with more than enough. I abide in God's system and not the world’s system. M. Caldwell - I am not a member, but I follow Tracey Tiernan on the radio and several people on my FB page that go to Bridgeway. I would love to visit one day. I am requesting prayer for I was laid off of my job a few weeks ago. While I do have a support system at home, I am really asking God to lead me in the right direction on a place of employment. My field is in HR and I had my second interview with a company on today. I am praying for a positive response. And just to have more of God in my everyday as I try to make time for prayer and reading. We get so bogged down with life that the time to give to God is made up of excuses on why you can't. So I'm also requesting prayer for a closer walk, for my eagerness to learn the Word and more of Him is like never before. Thank you.

Z. Richardson - I lost my granddaughter on May 10^th. She was 7 weeks old and a twin.  Her services are all done and I have no motivation in getting back to my normal activities.  Please pray that my family chooses prayer to heal. .... But I have not prayed for healing at all.

Anonymous - My daughter's hair has fallen out because of a bad perm. She is very upset and won't let me help her. Pray that she won't be so rebellious and that she gain some ambition in life. S. McGann - My name is Stacy and my son Jonathan is having emergency surgery this evening due to a complication of an injury he sustained from a car accident last year. He went to the OR at 4:00pm and the surgery is scheduled to be 3 hours. God carried him through that very traumatic time as well as our family. My prayer is that God will renew his strength and absurdity that God will take him through this and he will be even better. He is a college student and yesterday was the last day of finals and so for him this was the first day of summer and this is the last place he thought he would be. I know our Father knows better than we so please lift him up in prayer as well as my family and me and all of the staff caring for him. God bless you all!

Lomax - I am asking prayer for a friend, Betty, who was recently forced into early retirement and is struggling with accepting how she is being treated after 40 years of service to the organization.  She is concerned with finances because the forced retirement will significantly impact her pension.  But, most importantly, I think she is just hurt and feels defeated.  She is normally a very positive and vibrant person, and she is a Christian.  But this has knocked the wind out of her.

Rodger and Brenda - My wife and I have been Bridgeway partners for nearly three years.   We serve proudly in the Active Duty Army on Fort Meade.  It truly saddens my heart to tell you that five weeks ago Brenda received orders to deploy to Afghanistan for 12 months on her second combat tour (the first deployment was in Iraq). She deploys on 20 May, and next Sunday (15 May) will be her last service until she returns. I want to ask that she remain in the prayers of the church body now and throughout our separation; that a shield of protection be provided over her throughout her travels and her military duties.

Vanessa - Hello, I am praying for a job offer this week. I have interviewed with 4 people from the potential place of employment. On the last interview, I got lost and was late about 10 minutes and I called to let them know. I am praying that God intervenes and allow this not to be held against me. I really need the job and I have been praying for a position like this one. I am asking for prayer specifically for this job. C. Marrow - Please pray for Bernice and her 3 children as she just lost her husband/their father, Claude Dargan on yesterday. They attend Bridgeway. Claude had been ill but it appeared that he was fighting a good fight.  It is very tough on the family and pray that family and friends will rally to help her with whatever she needs, including making funeral arrangements and standing with her and the family during such a tough time. Anonymous - I need healing in my circulation and legs. The doctors can't find the reason behind my feet and legs being swollen. I am really concerned. I also need to eat healthy and lose a lot of weight. Pray that I will stick to eating healthy and not crave bad foods. Ask that God will send my soul mate and marriage partner soon.

Anonymous - Please pray that we will become financially successful. Also pray that a court case I have coming up will be cancelled. I feel very nervous and just want the whole thing to be over. Pray that my daughter will find a fulfilling job and be able to support her family. Also pray that I will be successful in school this year and be accepted into the nursing program. D. Dixon - Good Morning…I visited Bridgeway for the first time this past Sunday. What a dynamic body of believers! I felt the sermon was focused on what I am going through in my life and it really ministered to the great pain I find myself in at this time. May I ask for prayer for myself and my family? We are recovering from great abuse and need much emotional healing. Thank you so much.

Carolina - Please pray for my friend Paul who is going through deportation proceedings. He's been really working hard to be legal. Please pray that he is granted asylum.

Anonymous - I need a miracle. I am involved in a car accident case that I no longer want to pursue but I am hemmed in by lawyers. Pray that it will be resolved soon and without us having to go to court. I am terrified of public speaking and wish I had never talked to lawyers. Also please pray that I will continue losing weight and have healing in my legs. I have a lot of swelling in them and the doctors can't figure out why.

Ashley - I'm not sure if this is a silly or insignificant prayer request, especially compared to the others that I have read. But anyway, I'm in my late 20 years, and I've never had a relationship last more than a few months.  I desperately want to find a relationship with the "right one" and settle down, get marriage and have children.  I am constantly lonely and often envious of others in loving relationships.  I've prayed for this for many years, but it just seems like one of those things that happens for everyone else.  I would also like to request that I learn to have more faith and trust in the Lord.  It becomes more and more difficult because as of late, when I pray, I feel He's not listening or does not care because I don't hear Him or feel Him.

Boler - My mother cannot return back to Detroit due to her condition she is very frail and is unable to monitor her sugar levels and with none there to check on her daily, with meals and her daily living. The doctors stated that they recommend she had someone close by her often. Even though I have 5 siblings they don’t want the burden, but I have always wanted to take care of my mother when the time came. I got myself into a situation that was not of God and let a man put me in a financial situation where now I am about to lose my condo and I have a 15yr old son. My mom wants to be with me but I haven’t had the heart to tell her the situation that I may be homeless. I have asked God for forgiveness on my actions (fear) in letting a man tell me he would help. My prayer is for God’s direction on what and how to handle this situation since my mother cannot return to Detroit. I need to secure my home situation. I am behind on my mortgage and condo fees because I allowed a man to convince me that we were going to marry and now we’re not. Please pray for me that I learn to not only hear from God and put total trust in him.

Laurie - I do need prayer in several area's it seems like many things are happening in my life and I feel like I don't have control and I guess that is because God's in control and I need to trust in the Lord. Anyway my very good friend Shannon whom you all have prayed over in the past is suffering from stage 4 cancer and unfortunately it has come back I don't think she is saved but she does believe in God. My prayer request is that she comes to know Jesus and that God would give her more time on this earth more than she could even imagine. My 8 year old son, Elijah is having Bone Graft Surgery on April 12 so I would like to pray for a successful surgery and Speedy recovery. I believe that God is in the process of healing my marriage but the enemy works very hard in this area so I need ongoing prayer. I would like to pray for softening of hearts toward one another, better communication and more intimacy. My name is Laurie my husband is Alvin.

T. Faison - I coming to you asking for prayer in the financial area of my life. I am not an official partner in your church but I have frequented your church in the past year and a half when going to worship. My mother and I are facing eviction from our apartment due to extreme financial hardship. I have been trusting totally in God and standing firm on his word while doing everything in my power to try and prevent this. I’m facing difficulty on my job and I just do not understand how I am going to go on. The devil is constantly attacking me and I keep giving God his word but I’m truly starting to have doubts on him doing what he said in would do. I’m the sole financial earner in the household because my mom is disabled and I just do not know what else to do. I’ve prayed so much and that is all I have left. DaviesAda - In the name of Jesus, I am asking you to pray for me concerning my job. I am currently working for a company dealing with people with disabilities. Last Tuesday, management asked all working staff to go to the office to fill in an application form and to also go for an interview which I did. Most of the staff had been called to go for medical tests which should enable them get their position back. I have still not been called and this week is the last week for all of us to know the outcome of our continued employment. I know all things are possible with God.

W. Downard - Please pray for Andrew who is 19 years and currently in ICU at Frederick Memorial Hospital. Andrew stopped breathing and is now in a coma.

R. Gold - My friend Laura was born with a rare disease, laryngeal papillomatosis. She gets throat surgery every 6 months to remove the tumors. This surgery enables her to keep breathing. Her doctor recently informed her that the growths are starting to migrate down her throat. *If* they migrate into her lungs, surgery won't be able to help her anymore and she'll stop breathing. Please pray that the tumors do not spread to her lungs, that surgery will continue to be effective, and that eventually a cure will be found. Pray that more effective meds will be developed. R.E. - I have been acting in ways of my life recently that are not Christ-like at all, and I need to find a way to stop it and give it to God. Long story short, I've been speaking and spending time with someone who is in a relationship. For lack of a better term, I've been acting as "the other woman". I know this is wrong, but it's been like an addiction for me, and I've been struggling to find the strength and courage to end it. I feel ashamed and have been lying to all of my friends and family because I don't want anyone to know. I need to be able to cut things off and let God take control of the situation so I no longer act this way. Please pray that God will lead my ways and give me the strength to let go of this addiction.

Jeannie - I would like prayer for my six children, who have gone through a lot over the last five years due to the difficult loss of their grandmother (my mother), and the divorce of me and their father, which has continued to be a difficult situation. I especially need prayer for my 17 year old son, Shane, as he has turned away from the faith he was raised with and has gotten involved with drugs. He is an extremely bright child, a gifted writer, and a deep thinker, but his hurts and disappointment in his parents has caused him to really question the existence of God and the reality of Christian faith. He is still searching, and he does talk openly to me, but he needs to experience God's love and redemption and release! My other five children, especially the older three, are hurting in their own ways, and they need healing. I need healing in my relationships with my older two children and God's grace and healing for our family! I have repented of any wrong I have done, and my faith has really been renewed, but we need miracles from God! Thank you!

S. Jenkins - My cousin Butchie was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in December and the cancer is very aggressive. This past Saturday, family and friends gathered together to spend time with him. It was very emotional, and uplifting at the same time, with some laughter and lots of hugs and prayers, all of us drawing on my cousin's strength as he is prepared to go home. He has three sons, the youngest is 7. Please pray for my cousin Butchie and his family during this tough time. The family is still grieving over the loss Butchie’s nephew, Keith who was murdered last November and Butchie’s brother Buddy, remains in the hospital with series health issues. I am so thankful and praise God for showing us faith and strength through Butchie and I praise him for allowing Butchie to have a good day on Saturday, so that we could enjoy the time with him.

Melissa - I attend church in Northern California...it's called Bridgeway Christian! That's how I stumbled onto your church’s website. Our God is an awesome God! I am in need of prayer as I enter into a treatment program for a rare blood disease I have. This medicine (which is given thru an IV) is 3yrs old (praise Jesus! 3 yrs ago I would have no other options...so I am forever grateful). My family and I are a bit anxious as we venture into "new" territory. Please pray for our safe journey as we navigate the medical highway. Thank you for your prayers! I welcome any support from my Christian brothers and sisters.

Diane - My Uncle Al has been diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, a form of cancer. He has had chemotherapy for a while but has not had any treatments for some time now. The doctors want him to have a bone marrow transplant. My uncle does not want to have this done. We are asking for prayer for a complete healing without having the bone marrow transplant or any other treatments. Thank you for your prayers

D. Burton - My prayer request is not serious in health, but serious in finance. I am facing eviction. I know that God is telling me what to do - but I cannot hear it because of all the potential illegal fast things I can do to get the money. I know there is strength in numbers. Please pray that I hear his word and drown out everything else.

J. Overbey - I have been trying to get disability and SSI since I reinjured my back and arms while caring for my mother since Sept. 2007. I have been denied 4 times with the last time almost a year ago. I filed an appeal and recently found out my case is going back before the administrative judge. I need prayer that my case is approved. I cannot do any of the jobs I have done in the past and am trying to finish college so that I can go to law school to begin a new career. This too is a challenge since there are times I am unable to write to take notes. Please pray for my case, my pain level and school. Thank you.

A. Lawson - I am requesting prayer for my fiancé who struggles with a drug addiction. His name is David. He has been out on the streets since Wednesday. I am continually praying for his safe return and his health given he has a bad heart and other health complications. We were just at last week’s service and were hoping that we could make it to Bible study this past week, but he never made it to pick me up from work on Wednesday. That was the last day I spoke with him after he told me he used again. Please, pray for him and my strength as this is very stressful and I am losing hope...it is so painful.

E. Mitchell - Please pray for my healing. For the past 3 months I have been suffering from daily headaches. My doctor does not know the cause, but thinks it might be due to stress. Up until to now, no serious cause has been found. Praise God! But neither medications nor non-medical treatments have worked to relieve the headaches. Thank you for your prayers!

Robert - We ask for prayers of intercession for Christina who has been deceived by hollow philosophies of Church of Christ and is allowing herself to be alienated from her family by those philosophies. We ask for intercession to disrupt this relationship between her and Church of Christ before she is fully taken into spiritual bondage, and to return to the truth of Jesus as taught to her by her parents. We also ask for God's wisdom for her parents in this stressful battle against principalities and powers.

C. Diggs - I would ask you to please pray for my marriage. My marriage is on the line and I need some intersession. Please pray hard to get this spirit lust out of me. I love my wife and I want this marriage to go on.

J. May - Please join me in praying for my mom and dad. My mom has suffered four strokes since late January. They need God's strength to help them get through this. We thank God that they have impacted parts of her brain that aren't frequently used, so there has been nominal impact to her speech and motor skills. Also, please pray that the doctors caring for her find a cause for these strokes and are able to put an end to them and that her body can be restored.

Anonymous - I need prayer that I will eat healthy and lose weight. I have a lot to lose. Also please pray that my financial situation will greatly improve and that my relationship with my boss will improve. Pray that there will be harmony in the workplace and that God will remove bad workers from the job. It is dangerous and we need good people who are caring and work hard.

Anonymous - I would like to get married and settle down with a financially secure, caring Christ-like husband. Pray that he will be kind and that we will be highly compatible. Also pray that my current looks will improve.

F. Little - Bless the Lord Saints! We have been petitioning for the Lord's provision of housing during my recent 5 months of homelessness. Praise Him, he has provided! I moved into an apartment condominium last week! I am leasing, and asking the Lord to bless me to purchase it eventually. I pray for His continued protection and provision--a recent car accident during freezing rain has siphoned resources. I continue to ask for an increase/promotion in income. I pray the Lord provide that I may handle my obligations on time, without interruption, and that the enemy be bound. I pray for my marriage--my wife and I are separated. I am a weary warrior, and ask for the Lord's divine sovereignty to be engaged in all that concerns me. May the Lord restore all that the enemy has stolen. Lastly, I pray the Lord build the house--home, family, financial, career-- for unless the Lord build the house, they that labor, labor in vain...that I be re-engage and focused upon the ministry calling of my life. Anonymous - I need prayer that the disapproval of my boss will stop. She is new and she does not trust any of the established workers. She is listening to gossip from lazy, manipulative employees who seek out easier assignments. Pray that she will realize what's going on.

Anonymous - Pray that God will send a good Christian man for me to marry soon. I have never been married and would enjoy being settled down. Pray that I will lose weight and have healing in my circulation. My legs and ankles swell up really badly and I am worried. Pray that my addiction to junk foods will stop.

M. Gonzalez – Please pray for the Lord to provide us with the necessary income so we can pay our bills and for me to be able to work from home since I just had a baby.

C. Nwosu - I have a condition with my eyes that have been going on since 1991. It has literally taken over 50 - 70% of my life. I used to not know what it feels like to enjoy simple things anymore. But ever since I started my journey of learning how to live a Godly life, I am trying not to worry anymore. Because as far as I have God in my life, then I am happy and will not need to find happiness in worldly things. The condition is a very, very rare one. Doctors have called it 'Chronic Dry Eye Syndrome'. Please If you can pray for me I would highly appreciate it. I don't know what to do anymore. I pray every day and try to read my bible or daily devotions every other day. I have really been trying to maintain a close relationship with God and live a righteous life. This is all that keeps me going every day. However I feel like this condition has made me a better person in so many different ways, so I try not to let it bring me down too much.  But it gets hard at times. The good thing is that I have 20/20 vision, but my condition literally gets worse every year. I have cried and cried in the past because of this but I am now numb and have stopped crying. I truly, truly appreciate your prayers. Thank you so much for your time. God bless you.

Elizabeth - Please join me in praying to the Lord in asking for his strength, guidance, direction and protection as I prepare to travel to Africa.  This is a family trip which will keep me in Africa for quite some time. It was not a planned trip but I believe that God has already planned it for me. I need prayers and support as I prepare to undertake this journey. I ask the spirit of God to go before and to make me strong as I prepare. Please remember my family in Africa in your prayers. God bless you.

R. Conner - My 11 year old daughter is a chronic asthmatic.  We are in the hospital almost every week with attacks.  Within the last year we've been at the Children’s Hospital in Washington, D.C. twice with pneumonia and a collapsed lung.  She struggles with her health and school because she misses so much.  She has shown what a strong little girl she is time after time.  Now she has been showing me fear.  She is scared that she can't breathe and this is very stressful for us.  I pray that through his stripes she will be healed.  That God the One that’s merciful will show mercy and have her grow out of it.  She needs to grow up like a normal 11 year old beautiful girl.  Playing and running and doing things that kids do.  Please pray for my sweet child.  She loves the Lord and was baptized in 09.  Pray to God that he heals her.  It's been very challenging being a single mom of two other girls.  Holding my home together and keeping my sanity.  I need prayer that my job will be understanding of my child’s illness and not penalize me for being there for her illness. That God continues to provide all our needs so that we are able to survive.  I believe in the power of Prayer!!!

Young – I have a first grade student whose mother (single) is not able to work. They were making plans to move to Florida in hopes of finding a job, but she ended up in the hospital for open heart surgery. Now they are no longer able to move to Florida, and doctors say that she can't work anyway. As if all that weren't bad enough, she found out from her doctors that she now has cancer. This is a refugee family who after being forced to flee their home country, is dealing with all this. Please pray for healing, and that God will provide for them everything that they need. Thank you!

Priscilla - I'm in need of a faith sandwich with the works! I am in need of everything and everyone knows. Lord I have laid my supplications before thee in thanks and prayer when I enter in your courts. Father, it is me who lost touch. My heart has hardened unintentionally. Take me back to the place before it hurt this bad. Father I trust you thank you for provision now I thank you for self sufficient promotion, for the humbling of my husband and I as one flesh. The adversity we've given one another nearly broke us. Holy Spirit turns every no I've heard into a yes. I’ve made the vision plain. Let it be done according to your word. Open your heart to me for a hand can be closed but your heart is love so if I touch your heart this day everything will change. Thank you for hearing and always answering my prayers. G. Combs - Please pray for me I have cancer and I am in treatment. I feel so bad I couldn’t make it to church yesterday. I am so weak and tired.

Stiars - Marie, the sister-in-law of a close friend, is in University Hospital awaiting a lung transplant.  She is young (in her 40's) and this is a terribly emotional time for her family as well.  Her husband Mark, daughters, sister-in-law Marti, are all so stressed and worried.  Please pray for Marie and quick and speedy transplant match.

WEEK OF FEBRUARY 13, 2011

Anonymous - Please pray for us.  We are so behind in our home mortgage. We have been behind since we brought this home.  I was hospitalized due to pregnancy complications and lost my job. I have 3 children so it has been hard to find a job to support day care, before care, after care and transportation needs for one child.  My husband lost his job last year and recently started working a few months ago.  We are almost 70,000 behind and trying to get approved for a loan modification. The mortgage company says it is still under review and it has been going on for months.  I am praying it goes through because we will not have a place to stay and I do not know what we are going to do.  Finances are not looking good, there is always something coming up, car repairs, electricity, phone being turned off. I know God has a plan, but I need results now.

Kim – I have a 19 yr old daughter who now has an adorable 4 month old baby, my grandson.  I have been in a struggle with her for the past few years and it has reached a point where I can no longer accept her living in my home due to her disrespect.  I have given her until March 19, 2011.  I made this decision after much prayer.  I feel extremely torn and distressed by my decision, especially because of the baby, but I can no longer allow her to disrespect me and our family, which include two younger siblings.  My husband and I feel that until she is truly on her own she will not appreciate nor will she become responsible. Thank you all for your prayers. We truly need them.

D. Hyman - Please pray that God will open doors for me. I will take my Praxis exam AGAIN on 2/28. I know I can't make it without God opening the door. This is to give God the glory. He has allowed me to pursue my degree and continue to get more education. I need God’s help. I can't do it without Him.

J. Overbey - Prayer for safe travel for Gerald as he travels 2/16 to 2/17 from Nigeria to Amsterdam to Detroit than on the Baltimore.

Anonymous - I need prayer that I will have the stamina to do well in my college classes this semester. I have a heavy load of classes and I am having health problems with my circulation. I need prayer for rapid healing and weight loss. I have a serious addiction to sweet and unhealthy foods. Pray that God will take away my love for these foods. My financial situation also needs prayer so that I can clean up my credit and buy a home.

Anonymous - My daughter desperately needs a job to support her child. I am tired of carrying the heavy load myself. Pray that she will become mature and more ambitious and go back to college also. Her focus is off and she is too laid back. Pray that she will grow in her faith and become more successful in life with good friends and a husband who loves Christ.

Anonymous - I'm at a very low place in my life at this time & God only knows that I'm on the verge of giving up on everything. I am facing possible deportation though I’ve legally lived here for almost 10 years. I've been pretty good and contributed much to my community. I still believe in God and in his power but I don't understand why he's totally ignoring me. So I'm asking all of you to pray with me; for God to turn things around for me. Thanks.

M. Giarratano - Please pray for 2 homes to sell...Man says it is impossible but all things are possible with God! I am trying to care for my Mom. Please, please pray that God will direct 2 people to these houses. Prayer Changes things!

D. Flowers - I would like to submit a prayer request for a coworker who is going through a painful divorce right now.  Her soon to be ex-husband was physically and verbally abusive.  There is currently a protection order against him so he's not allowed to be within a certain vicinity of her but she is still afraid, especially at night.  He withdrew nearly all of their joint account leaving her with little to no money. 

Sharon - My husband David and I are separated.  I received a call from him this morning from the hospital.  He was taken to the emergency room, experiencing chest pains, with high blood pressure and sugar levels.  All tests show that he did not have a stroke or heart attack.  He will be kept overnight for further observation.  I plan on taking my daughters to visit him. He has not been in contact with the family for over a month.  Please pray for my husband's health, our family and for our visit with him.

Valerie - Please pray for a good friend of my family Keyara who is 21 years old.  She went to get a mammogram and the doctor told her she has a lump on her breast.  Breast cancer runs in her family. She is so very afraid and nervous.  She goes in the hospital tomorrow morning. Please pray that it is not cancer. Thanks so much--Valerie

F. Little - Dear Brothers and Sisters: Thank you for your ministry of prayer. The Lord is answering the petitions made on my behalf on December 5, 2010. An agreement of lease terms for a condominium the Lord led me to have been reached. Pray for favor that the transaction be completed swiftly and without hindrance--I do have credit issues. I thank the Lord for providing overtime to meet my emergency needs. Continue to pray for supernatural provision that all needs be met--utilities, furniture, etc--as I transition from homelessness to independence again. I ask that the Lord cause all that the enemy has stolen be restored 1000-fold--Now. I thank the Lord for being loving, kind, and faithful to his Word. In Jesus name, Amen.

R. McClellan - I am in a house crisis. I believe God will move, but whatever way it will go I appreciate it.
Can you pray for me that my faith fail me not? Also, please pray that I stay strong on this journey and be motivated to stay on the path. Please pray that God give me directions on what to do and that I know that it is him that is speaking to me. Pray for me to have strength to carry out the order. I need help.  I have my mother my elderly cousin that I take care of, but if the truth be told they encourage me.

P. Wieczynski - Please pray for my Mom, Marie, who has congestive heart failure and atrial fibrillation. She is 94, and now in hospice care at home.  We live together, and I am her main caregiver.  We trust the Lord for this time in our lives.  Pray for our family, too...in Jesus' Precious Name....in The Spirit of Love...Amen!

Anonymous - I have been married for 3 years now and through these years, it has been one bad situation after another that has affected our marriage.  It's by God's grace we are still married.  However, I keep praying for God to make it clear to me if I should stay married and his response is to endure.  I need prayer on patient endurance in this marriage and to think positive about my husband and marriage because I feel sometimes that I am stuck and it's only because of God that I am still in it. C. Floyd - Will you please pray for Matthew?  The plate that was added to his elbow on his last (second) surgery on January 6th is coming through his arm.  The prayer of profession according to God's Word would be for total complete healing and restoration, in Jesus' name, by His stripes, to Matthew's arm and body.  Also, endurance for Matthew as he is trying to keep up with everything, (doctor visits, physical therapy, school work, life one-handed when you're a righty. etc.)  Dr. Yeh, his orthopedic doctor will be deciding the best way to handle this, as we are only at the fourth week of having the plate in Matt's elbow to secure it.  The doctor's would have liked it to be week five or six.  Also, Matt is on antibiotics to keep clear of infection.  I would just love to stand in agreement with prayer, according to God's Word, that he is covered, protected, and sealed against any and all evil schemes, in Jesus' name.  Matt loves the Lord, follows Him, and has trusted Him through all this.  Matt turned his life over to Christ on April 23, 2006.  He is a believer, a son of God, and inheritor of all God's promises, through Jesus Christ.  Thank you for standing with us in prayer.

WEEK OF JANUARY 30, 2011

Andy and Esther - Right now I am at Howard County General Hospital on 24 hour bed rest due to a high risk pregnancy. We are at 29 weeks and 3 days, which is a blessing. (We were admitted at 27 weeks)  We pray that baby will continue to happily growing inside as long as possible. This is just a precautionary measure to make sure nothing happens to both mother and baby, but it is strenuous on the family as we have 2 little girls at home.  We are absolutely blessed to have family and friends that love us so very much and have made meals and provided childcare when needed.  We just pray that Mother and Child will be blessed by God's hand and love and that everything turns out in God's perfect plan.  Thank you for your prayers as I know God hears them.  I can absolutely feel His love surrounding me all day long!

T. Campbell - I would just like to say thank you Bridgeway.  I am sitting here in Shock Trauma Baltimore with a friend of mine who was in a motorcycle accident in June and has been having complications every since.  His name is Jan. Please pray for Jan’s to recovery. 

E. Fedna - Dear Pastor David Anderson and Bridgeway Community Church,
God put it in my heart and gave me a vision to go back to Haiti and start a ministry. He showed me the area where I was born and raised which is Petion-ville and Cayes. While living in the U.S., God revealed to me in a dream that I have to go back and help the people. From this revelation, I was compelled to start an orphanage home but I have faced many challenges within the past year after the earthquake destroyed my orphanage. I am requesting your prayers for financial support.

Janet - Please pray for my daughter, Melissa who is trying to put herself through college. She is in need of a scholarship so she can stop working full-time. Working full time and taking full time courses is wearing on her but she has no choice because it is her only way to pay for everything. Also needs a scholarship for her books, because they are so expense. And she hasn't been able to purchase all of them. She has applied everywhere but no luck. She is in a Nursing Program and needs prayer for strength, endurance and wisdom to help her through this time of need.

B. Lee Powell - Please pray that my grand-daughter Rochelle who is serving in Afghanistan. Please pray that she return home and out of the military with a sound mind free of all the things she experienced in the war zone and while serving in the army. Pray that my finances. Pray that my heating unit in my apartment will be miraculously regulated by God, so that my electric bill will not be way outside of my monthly budget. Pray that my entire family is made whole and attentive and willing to be who God wants us all to be.

Anonymous - Please pray that my grandson will be obedient to us and listen. He has suddenly become very rebellious. We are confused and frustrated. He is very intelligent otherwise and may even be gifted.

Anonymous - Please pray that I will be guided into the right career. I am torn between two different things and can't seem to make up my mind. Also pray that I will lose weight and meet a good Christian to marry. I feel like my youth is passing me by and my attractiveness is fading quickly.

Robert - Please cover the Galvan family, of Baltimore, in prayer.  Their 5 yr. old is in serious condition with a ruptured appendix that went undetected even though she has had 3 surgeries since January 19. She also has a bowel obstruction plus other complications.  Yet, her request is having school work sent to her in the hospital so that she can keep up. Her brother has tonsillitis.  Please include a third child plus Mom & Dad Galvan in your prayers.  Thank you.

Mary - Please pray for my husband who is need of guidance and positive thoughts about Jesus Christ.  We recently got married and have a child on the way. We want God in our life to give us strength.  We want to grow and live in his word. WEEK OF JANUARY 9, 2011

Anonymous - I need prayer for financial help. I am behind on my car payments and rent. I also need furniture and things for my house.

Becky - I need prayer for my family & I. We are facing eviction and are struggling to make ends meet. My husband is looking for work but hasn't had any luck.  

B. Davis - Praise the Lord!  I will continue to praise the Lord while I wait. Please pray for my daughter and me.  She is home from college and will be returning to school in New York January 16th. Please pray that we will have a safe drive to and from NY.  I will be driving to and from NY (solo).  This is not by choice, but she does not have her license and I am a single mother. I drive a daily commute to and from work and often feel sleepy during that 25 minute commute. Thank you for your prayers.

Bridgeway Partner - I've been in continuous prayer to be reunited with my husband. We married on March 20, 2008 in Nigeria. I filed all the necessary paper work petitioning for my husband to join me here in the U.S but the petition was denied a year later (2010) with an explanation that the paper work was misfiled. I am now praying for money to file the petition again and a favorable answer from the government. It has been 3 longest years of my life. Secondly I am in temporary housing and in need of a permanent situation. Recently my roommate has informed me that I must go because of some pending family emergency. I've sought help from my brother and am now waiting for a favorable reply from him. My roommate has not given me a deadline but I feel unwelcome and it is very stressful. I don't want to go home after work, in fact as I'm stalling even now. God help me.

S. Jenkins - My god daughter Ashley has been diagnosed with breast cancer.  She is 28 years old.  Please keep her in prayer for the decisions she has to make regarding her medical condition.

WEEK OF JANUARY 2, 2011

Judith - I need prayer for a financial miracle this week.  My daughter and I are facing eviction. Thank you in advance for your prayers.

S. Ryan – I would like prayer that God opens doors for me to work with anyone who need help with snow removal, raking leaves and other things.

Alban(AJ) - My Friend(13 year old-boy)was shot in his eye by accident and is now in the hospital. Everyone I know is praying that he is okay and that God will watch over him and be with him and his family. I also want to ask if you could keep my friend in your prayers and pray that God watches over him and his family and that he makes a good recovery. Thank You Bridgeway Family!

C. Cobbs - After much prayer, my son started coming to church every Sunday - he did this for a year. He has even starting bringing his friends.  He stood up one Sunday to give his life to Jesus Christ.  For the last 2 months he has not attended church.  He is 29 years old and he seems depressed that he has done so little with his life and is living back at home. He feels weak, lifeless.  He has always been so skinny, skin and bones. Please help me pray for my son's life. I pray that he seeks God always.

D. Martin - Peter Francis (16yrs old) is a friend of mine who has been in and out of the hospital since Christmas. It started with numbness that went from his side and worked its way up towards his head. Then, he started vomiting. He was taken to the hospital by life-flighting helicopter to a more advanced facility. The doctors ruled out blood clots and a stroke. He continued to be nauseous and vomit every time he has tried to stand. Please pray for wisdom for doctors and family and healing. I would appreciate your prayers in this area. Thanks!

H. Davies - I thank the Lord for all the love and blessings he has showered on me. Without him all my successes and achievements would not have happened. I pray for the Lord's continued love, blessings, wisdom and guidance as I study and take the last part of the CPA exam 2/26/11. Amen

G. Combs - I am getting a cold which causes a condition that I have called exacerbation to get worse and causes me to have to be hospitalized because it’s difficult to breathe. Please pray that the Lord will spare me this. I am saved and have been coming on Sundays. I pray that I can be there this Sunday

E. Point Du Jour - Dear brothers and sisters, I am asking you to help me pray for a miracle. For the past year and a half my 6 year old nephew Esteban, has been struggling with a condition called vesicoureteral reflux, which has been causing severe damage to his kidneys. A surgery done 3 months ago to help repair damage in his urethra worsened his condition. Two days ago he came close to renal failure. One of his kidneys is severely damaged and the other kidney is starting to worsen as well. Doctors of course, will not admit they did anything wrong. All this is worse by the fact that they live in Nicaragua and are very poor. My uncle Magdiel, Esteban's father, is a pastor of a church in Nicaragua. His earnings can't even begin to cover tests needed for Esteban let alone a major surgery. My family and I are have helped financially with all we could and have reached out to friends as well, but for some reason we are coming up short in helping Esteban. Please pray for a miraculous healing for Esteban and for financial support for my uncle as he has a large debt already due to Esteban's medical care over the last year and a half. God bless you for interceding for a brother in Christ thousands and thousands of miles away who truly needs you.

Angeletti - I would appreciate prayers regarding closure of my deceased sister's estate and that her home will soon be sold.  I pray for God's continuing blessings upon me and my partner in this life and the full life to come.  Also that Dr. David Anderson continue to win precious souls by his compassionate grace and spirit that he generates on a daily bases. Mary - Please pray for me that I will have a job soon.  It's been a year now and I have no luck on finding a job.  I've been praying to God, and feels like I don't have any connection to him.  I feel like I lost him and I want to worship him.  I also just got married and now I'm a mother to be again. Lord please give me strength! I hope to have a healthy baby.  Pray also for my husband, daughter, and families.  Thank you Lord for everything! 

Barry - I have been struggling trying find a job for more than 1-1/2 years without success. I have wavered my faith at times because my prayers have not come in the timely fashion I would expect them too. Frustration has set in and it has affected my faith and beliefs momentarily. I have been struggling to keep my home, find a job, pay my bills and it has been very, very tough. I am literally rubbing pennies together to make ends meet. Even when I am able to make it to church, I have not been able to tithe because I just don't have the money to. A little here and a little there is all I can give. This problem I have been facing now has actually humbled me so much realizing how important my faith is to me and the importance of needing GOD more now in my life than ever. I have asked GOD to forgive me for wavering in my faith. I want to thank not only Bridgeway, but Dr. Anderson for giving me hope again through his messages and please continue to pray for me through my struggles. God Bless you all and Merry Christmas.

D. Amos - I am in desperate need of a reliable vehicle.  My car recently died and I’m having difficulty because I didn’t have a car note and I need to come up with a way to afford a monthly car expense.  Please pray for me.  Debbie

O. Ojewale - We have to move from a house that we've lived in for a little over 2 years. In fact, our eviction takes effect on Jan 03, 2011 - what a gift to start a new year with! There is a house in Indiana that's for sale by its owner under a simple, cash sale agreement. We do have some money but are short by $15,000. We do also have valuables we can sell (in high end watches, gold, and museum piece, sterling silver) but there are no buyers. I remember being told that there's nothing too hard for God, but these times are way too hard for me.

J. Hill - A family friend, Stephanie, just found out she has uterine cancer. She has just gone through surgery and is about to begin chemotherapy. Pray for complete recovery ability to withstand chemo and for the ability to eat after chemo sessions.  Pray for the children, family, and friends to be a Godly support for her.

J. Hill - Prayer as my son is going through a difficult time as he and his wife are separated and discussing divorce. Children are, 6 and 8 years old are unhappy and asking many questions and trying to understand what is happening.

WEEK OF DECEMBER 12, 2010

Valerie - I would first like to give you an update on my son Kurt, he is doing much better.  I asked for prayer for him because he is in the service and he had started drinking alcohol because he was lonely and bored.  Praise God! He has found companionship and he won't be alone for the holiday. I have several prayer requests. The first one is for Franchesa. She is 21 years old and she has Leukemia. She is out of the hospital now and home with her family, so my prayer is for her continued recovery. I also want to pray for my friend Phillip, he has ALS and was forced to retire.  Finally, myself, Valerie I am taking an exam on Sunday December 19th for my Professional Human Resources (PHR) certification.  I really need to pass this exam, if not I will not be able to take it again for two years.  I need this certification to help with my career endeavors.  Currently, I am unemployed and looking for employment, this certification will be a tremendous help.  I am studying the material daily and the information is not sticking.  I feel anxious and overwhelmed so I pray for clarity and a peace of mind. Thanks so much prayer team, you are the best!!

M. Giarratano - Please pray for 2 homes I have currently on the market to sell...Man says it is impossible but all things are possible with God! I am trying to care for my Mom. Please, please pray God will direct 2 people to these houses...Prayer Changes things!

D. White - I would like the church to pray for my entire family especially my older son and children. Please pray the paternity of my son’s children is cleared up and that test prove there are his children. I also want the prayers for my health. I am ill and may need to be on a breathing machine. I will be 42 on Thursday, that’s very young. IN LEAVE THIS IN THE NAME OF JESUS. Also pray for my neighbors that has been talking negative and starting rumors about my condition.

Anonymous - Please pray that I will lose my extreme shyness and be able to talk openly with the opposite sex. I am very afraid to meet new people and therefore avoid dating. This is a huge problem since I really want to get married some day. I am 42 and still have this problem. Pray that my financial situation will greatly improve. I do not have any money for the holidays and I have a daughter and grandson to support. I am really broke and need a miracle.

K. Rabold - I am a first year teacher and I was injured at work three weeks ago. I have been home with a knee brace. I am expected to go back to work on Jan 3. The problem is that with my doctor's permission I started walking around today. I only walked for a half hour. I cannot believe how bad it hurts. I am concerned, about going back, about getting better... I really want to focus on the Savior at this season but... Will you pray for me? Anonymous - Please pray that my daughter does not have cancer! She just had a check-up and the doctor suspects some type of cervical problem. This could affect her ability to have kids. She is scared and devastated as she only has one son. Pray that everything will go well at her check-up and she will be given a clean bill of health. I am really worried.

Anonymous - Please pray that all my friends and I will meet good, Christian men to marry. Some of us struggle with celibacy and shyness issues. We are all tired of being single and want families.

A. Barker - I would like to send a prayer to my friend Debbie that God be with her and a prayer to her family and friends to keep hope and stay strong. Debbie has been missing since Sunday December 12th from the town she lived in, in Las Vegas, Nevada. She is 31 and is a performer in Las Vegas and was last seen on Sunday evening. Please keep her in your prayers that she may be found, and God willing, return home safely.

J. Fenwick - Hello my Bridgeway Family :-). We are in need of prayer for our Family in a number of ways.  First, we lost our Grandfather, John J. Pyne on Friday.  He is survived by my Grandmother who is in her 90's.  We really want to be there (GA) for her, but our van is not currently on the road.  We need an inspection and repairs to get our tags for the van.  Also, due to our van situation, it is looking like we may not get to spend Christmas with our Family or at church.  Because we have 6 children, we need a large vehicle in order to travel anywhere together.  Currently, we just can't go anywhere together, but for Christmas, I can't see leaving anyone at home :-(.  Lastly, I need prayer in dealing with the fact that I cannot provide gifts for my children for Christmas.  I know it isn't about the gifts, but 5 of them are in school, they are all "A" students and I feel like they deserve better and that I just continue to let them down.  Last December we lost our house and now the house we are in has been foreclosed.  I want to be able to provide so much more for them.

M. DiFilippo - Pray for my dear friend Glenda who is going thru chemotherapy for breast cancer.  She will be starting a 30 day treatment of radiation soon after.  Pray for God to keep giving her the strength to face her treatments and for the treatments to be successful and the cancer be gone for good. 

D. Pilat – Hello… Back in February I needed a 6 hour back surgery to prevent paralysis.  My back was decompressed and realigned.  You see, according to 4 separate specialists my back has been broken in 2 places for over 40 years. All 4 specialists expressed the injury was very old and occurred before I was a teen. If this is not addressed I will experience paralysis. I am a Field Service Engineer supporting medical equipment and have being doing field service for 30 years. First, glory to GOD for me not being paralyzed. I have returned to work for 4 months and I am now not able to physically perform what is required of me in my job description. I have a doctor appointment Monday Dec. 20 and pray Gods will be done.  My prayer is to go on disability and that God would honor this petition and meet my financial and other needs.  Either way...Glory and praise are due to God!

D. Owens – Please pray for my co-worker who is seriously ill with emphysema. She fell down the steps and cracked her rib and broke her hip and may have brain damage.

L. Erickson - Dear Pastors and congregation of Bridgeway Community Church… My father, Ervin was recently diagnosed with a condition called Systemic Amyloidosis which is a disease where rogue proteins collect in and destroy body tissues. In Dad's case his kidneys and the nerves in his legs and feet are affected. He started chemotherapy several weeks ago. It is evidently the only real treatment for this uncommon disease. I am contacting as many Churches as I can, asking that Dad be added to Prayer Chains, his name passed along to other prayer circles, and also prayed for individually by those who take up the burden in their hearts. I have seen firsthand that God does answer our prayers; and I believe, as with many things in life, that there is power in numbers. I am hoping for as many voices as possible to be lifted up in prayer - healing for my Dad and comfort for my Mom, Marshon. I am hopeful that your congregation will respond to my plea. Dad is a man of Christian integrity; his loving and Godly influence is a rock for many people. God Bless You All for your kindness.

WEEK OF NOVEMBER 28, 2010

G. Sweek - I truly believe in the power of prayer. My fiancé’s father has been very sick this past month. For the past 5 years he has been on a waiting list to receive a new kidney, but every time the hospital has called to say they have one ready for him, he is sick in the hospital and therefore has been unable to get it. Mr. Brown also suffers from diabetes, which has caused him to start losing vision in one eye and is now having numbness in his legs and has fallen down several times. Just this past Thanksgiving Day, Mr. Brown was admitted to the Hospital in St. Mays County due to shortness of breath. After waiting for 18 hours that night in the hospital, he was flown via helicopter to Washington Hospital Center here in DC. The doctors finally explained to him that he had a collection of fluids surrounding his heart, which was causing his shortness of breath (the heart was being restricted due to the pressure of the fluids) and very low blood pressure (70 over 40). About 1 hour after he arrived at WHC he was rushed into surgery where they cut into his chest cavity to drain all the fluids surrounding his heart, which was almost 2 liters of blood. Mr. Brown was very close to losing his life. He is still in the hospital recovering from the surgery and also going through many tests and going to dialysis (for his kidneys). Since everyone thought that this might be it for him, his family and friends flew in from Georgia, NJ and the surrounding DMV area. Mr. Brown has been married to his wife Angela for nearly 35 years and they have 4 sons. The entire family is taking all of this very hard, as you could imagine. Please keep this family in your prayers....I am a believer and I know God is in control. There is power in prayer...

V. Bell - I am asking for prayer as it relates to income taxes for my adult disabled sons. It is a complicated story to explain but in essence I am praying that God grant me the knowledge and wisdom to consult the right people who will resolve tax issues with the IRS and I pray that whomever we encounter at the IRS is fair, understanding and able to help us resolve this issue. I also am praying for peace of mind through the process. Another request if for my mother who is awaiting a home equity loan and a decision from an insurance adjuster as it relates to damage in her home. She is 74 and still working and needs major repairs on her home. I am helping her though the process both emotionally and financially and I am asking for prayer for her, all of the people involved and for my peace of mind and emotional wellbeing as I take care of so many issues with my family.  I am so very broken and I come to Tuesday night prayer but am too shy to stand… Thank you.

Naomi - Hello All… Can you please pray for my dad, Johnny? He is currently in ICU in the Philippines. My Prayer is for him to have no pain and that the presence and peace of the love of God to surround him. He is 84 years old and a minister.

F. Little - Brothers and Sisters in Christ: Pray for "Open Doors" and "Provision". Been under a great deal of financial attack lately, but God is good and has provided overtime. Pray that any further attacks/intrusion be stopped--cold. Ask the Lord to open doors of opportunity to transition from my job into the full-time ministry. This is the vision he has given me. I ask not only for provisions and financial increase, but great, great increase as recompense and restoration of what the enemy has stolen. Pray that He continue to answer the Ephesians 3 prayer in my life and allow me to continue to glorify Him. In His Service, Amen.

S. Wills - Dear pastor and prayer team ask you to pray for my husband. He has smoked cigarettes for almost 50 years. He wants to quit smoking and he has tried a few times but he could not. Please pray for God to help him and to give him the strength to quit smoking. Please also pray for God to protect his health. Praise the Lord! In Jesus name, Amen, and Amen!

S. Gripper - Requesting prayer for his marriage and that his family stay united.

E. Yakohene - I have several times in the past written to request prayer for Guinea. Once again that is the principal objective of this prayer request. The country has been trying to get a democratically elected president for the past 5 months. There have been several incidents of violence before and after these elections induced by ethnic tendencies, with several death cases associated. As at writing, a state of emergency has been in force over the whole territory for the past two weeks. Schools have been shut down over the last three weeks. The simple economic principle of demand and supply has led to multiple increases in the cost of simple everyday needs and rising. No one knows how long before they are no longer available. The work of Ministry has come to a stand still for me. But how deep could the challenge for Guinea really be? I have no idea. But this I know that the God of Heaven is more than able to save this nation and her people. I worry for myself and my family. I worry for my friends and brethren here. I worry for the cause of the gospel even as many perish unsaved.  On behalf of the 10 million of Guinea, including my family, my friends and the faithful I extend this SOS to you. Will you please pray with us? Pray for a comprehensive and peaceful conclusion to the electoral process. Pray that the real winner of the elections will be the one chosen of God. Pray that the gospel will find a free course even now. Pray for the comforting of families and friends who have lost dear ones in the violent incidences. Pray that the spirit of retribution and impunity will give way to one of forgiveness and reconciliation. Pray that the nation will hold together; that there will not be social disintegration. Pray for the safety and provision of my family and for the faithful even in times like these.

Stacy - I come with a heavy heart. My son is not doing what he should. He’s lying, staying out, missing work, not doing well in school and possibly using drugs. I do not know who his friends are. For the last three weekends he has stayed out on Saturday night all night.  My prayer is that God would turn his heart and change his behavior ASAP. I pray that God will cover him and wake him up before something really bad happens. He is 19 years old and technically can be on his own. Please pray for my son and our family because his behavior has affected all of us in different ways. Thank you all for your prayers......God bless!!

S. Lunn – Asking for prayer for reconciliation in her marriage.

T. Thomas – Her husband is being deployed to Afghanistan for the second time and leaves in March of 2011. She is asking for prayer that her husband is given a reprieve and will not have to serve a second tour of duty.

S. Miller – Lost her father to cancer a month ago and is asking for prayer for during this time of bereavement. She cared for her father during his illness and was very grateful to have that time with him. She is praying for spiritual strength to get her through the emotions of dealing with losing him. Lastly, she is also praying for help with her finances.

J. Scavens - I please request healing prayer for Pastor Bill and Larry who have cancer.

WEEK OF NOVEMBER 7, 2010

S. Jenkins – Prayer for the Banks family. Her cousin, Keith was shot and killed on November 12, 2010. She is asking for prayer for the family and especially for her cousin’s mother, brothers and sisters. She is also asking for prayers for her cousin Charles, who is in the hospital with several health issues and has yet to hear about Keith.

L. Serafini – Requesting prayer for her brother Creed, who is struggling with addition and does not have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. She is requesting prayer that God will soften Creed's heart and reveals Himself to him and that Creed will come to know the Lord.  She is also requesting prayer that God will put Christian men on his path to support, mentor, encourage and be Jesus on earth.  May God’s healing hand reach Creed where ever he may be.

C. Stiars – After divorcing 6 years ago from being in a bad marriage, it took her 6 years to trust again. The man she was dating ended the relationship just two weeks ago. This news was sudden and out of the blue. She feels betrayed, fooled and lied to. Her heart hurts so very bad. Please pray that God helps to heal her heart and continues to give her the courage to trust another man. I also pray that God helps her daughters know that all men are not bad or break their word. Lastly, please pray for the ability to forgive and for spiritual strength.

B. Richardson - Please pray for better health and grace from the Father for me and my bride of 31 years.

Anonymous - Please pray for the salvation of my co-workers who all have terrible stress in their lives due to the nature of the job. Many of them can't cope and have health problems. We work in a penal institution and the supervisors are the main cause of stress - not the inmates. Pray that they will act fairly towards the employees.

Dee - I need prayer that I will continue losing weight and feel better about life. Things seem extraordinarily difficult right now and I am worried about providing gifts for the holidays. Pray that my 22 year old will make wise choices and take things slowly and thoughtfully with a love interest. Pray that she will find a good job and be able to support her child. Please pray that I will meet a wonderful, financially successful and generous, intelligent Christian man to marry and be happy with. I have never been married at 42.

S. Jenkins – Requesting prayer for her dad, Ken who was taken to the hospital. He is experiencing leg cramps and possible nerve damage in his legs. He is also recovering from pain management therapy for his back and recovering from shoulder therapy.  Please pray for her dad's healing and for her mom and family during this time. The family has planned a trip for the parents to go to Hawaii after Thanksgiving and pray that they are both healthy to go and enjoy the trip.

S. Wills – Desires to have a home large enough to adopt children in need. She is asking for prayers for the finances for a larger home to fulfill this calling that God has placed on her life. She is also praying for finances to be able to give to those in need in the US and China.

J. Smith - My sister-in-law needs to find another job. Her job relocated an hour away and the stress of the drive is taking a toll on her. Please lift her up in your prayers that the Lord will find her another job near home.

S. McGann – Asking for prayer for her son, Jon. God has taken him from near death back to life in January when he recovered from a terrible car accident in which he sustained a shattered hip, coma, a broken jaw, a brain injury and an open fracture of the tibia. He had gone back to college in August. He is back home and has what seems to be a very ugly bacterial/fungal infection on his right leg. “Pray for him! Please pray for supernatural healing and Jon’s peace!”

L. Jones – Requested prayers for finances with housing. This person constantly on the brink of being evicted and the stress is taking its toll.

Beverly - Please pray for me. I have 2 grown children who are having problems finding themselves. I am a single parent and they are at the age where I need their help financially.  I am currently working 2 jobs to maintain the household. Also I have been at my job for a long time and I’m presently going through an EEO case. Please pray for the people who discriminate against me.

S. Boyan-Moore – Requesting prayer for affordable housing and is on the brink of becoming homeless. She is requesting pray for affordable housing. Additionally, she is requesting successful surgery. Lastly, she is request prayer for both of her son’s salvation.

Diane – Requesting prayer for her uncle Al. He had a battle with colon cancer in the past and has been doing well.  Recently he has had back pain and the doctor has done some tests to diagnose the growth on his vertebrae.  We are waiting for his last test results.

Valerie - I am requesting prayer for my family and myself.  I am  pursing my masters at UMUC and it has been extremely difficult for me.  God has been so good to afford me this opportunity to go back to school. I am faced with so  many obstacles, financially as well as  personally.  I cannot concentrate or find resources to help me in subjects that I am weak in without costing an arm and a leg.  I have papers and quizzes coming up so please keep me in your prayers. Also, please pray for my son, who is battling addiction to alcohol. Please pray for his strength and to have him turn his focus on positive activities to utilize once his tour of duty is over.

Additionally, the company I work for here does not have anything in Missouri at this time for me to transfer also. I know God will provide and that it all will come together in his timing. C. Dougherty - I'm currently waiting to hear on the outcome on several contracts that my company has bid with the federal Government.  I'm not just asking for prayer for our success in winning these contracts, but also how I (we) can bless and help other people in the body with our success.  We are waiting to hear about contracts with the Air Force, Department of State, Bureau of Census and several other agencies.

C. Clarke - I'm an Executive Assistant for a non-profit organization. I'm thankful for my job in this terrible economy. My heart's desire is to be on television. I majored in Communications in college. I've applied for two reporter jobs. Please pray for God’s favor for me. I know his way is the best way. If being on television isn't his plan for me I ask him to please give me a career that will bring me happiness.

Angel - We are having some financial difficulties. We are trying to send our son to college and do not qualify for any assistance. It’s taking its toll on us financially. I pray every night for help. If you could pray for us as well we would greatly appreciate it.

F. Hiteshew - My family is in need of me finding a full-time or part-time night job with benefits. Please pray for my husband since he is carrying most of the financial burden while I take care of our two young boys. I personally would like prayer for favor for my nursing school applications. With God everything is possible. I would not know what to do if we did not have the love and support from our Bridgeway family.

B. Powell - Please pray for my granddaughter who is in the army deployed in Afghanistan since August 2010. She has already seen 3 people in her company die in combat. She's having a very hard time. She is praying to God, reading her Bible, listening to tapes etc. However, she definitely still needs more encouragement.  I try as much as I can, but I need prayers and my family for strength at what she is going thru.

BKM - I ask for strength in numbers to combat numerous assaults from the evil one on my immediate and extended family. My aunt is battling a new primary recurring lung cancer. Pray for her to be able to battle this disease. My cousin is battling drug addiction which has led him to being charged with 2 and possibly 6 other robberies to support his habit. Pray for him to break his addiction and better his life. My mother in law recently suffered from a massive stroke resulting in left side paralysis and partial upper right side weakness. Pray for her to regain her strength and have good rehab while she recovers. Finally I ask that people pray for me and my family. I am a veteran of Iraq and Afghanistan battling depression with a special needs child. This evil condition has affected my employment resulting in unfair persecution and false testimony against me affecting my career.

Leticia - I would like to ask that you pray with me for my father. He went to a routine prostate exam and they found some blood in his urine. I ask that you would pray with me that the Lord would give him the peace upon all peace as he is nervous about this. He just turned 61, and I am asking the Lord to bless him with an abundance of birthdays to come. Jocelyn - I pray that I learn how to get to the healthiest path in my life to raise my children and be able to show them the love it takes to get through tough relationships. I pray for the wisdom to hear what it is God tells me and to not deny his words to me!!!!  I am crying inside and praying for spiritual strength.

J. Abrams - Please pray for my family. My 23 year old cousin died in Afghanistan while supporting a mission. He was attempting to save an Afghan police officer who was drowning, when he himself could not swim that well. He has a 2 year old son.

D. Smith - Please pray for my mother, Ameriga’s healing from asthma, severe wheezing and congestion. Also, pray for her healing from a stroke on her left side and to obtain normal blood pressure readings and regular potassium levels and a normal heart rate. Pray for my mother to be able to eat from her mouth, instead of using a feeding tube in her stomach. Pray for my mother's healing from any infections in her body.

K. Dunkin – Praying for restoration of her marriage.

C. Earl - Please pray for Mark who is suffering from complications due to Sickle Cell Anemia. He was rushed to the hospital and is on life support and receiving several blood transfusions.

W. Fussell - I really need GOD's help with my car.  My Honda Accord broke down.  My brother has replaced 3 parts for me and it is still not running correctly.  Looks like I am going to have to have it towed to another shop.  I could use a miracle only GOD can provide!

S. Kawolo - I am presently out of job and need you to help me pray in that direction. I am a family man I need this job to be able to support my family.

R. Dennis - I'm asking for prayer as I enter the final journey in my divorce. I've been lead to send a request for God's covering of my family. I have been praying with my parents that God's hand guide this process and keep me strong and in peace. I pray that God will turn this pending divorce into a blessing of healing of my family to be a witness to God's sovereignty. Thank you for your prayers.

Vanessa - I am asking for prayer for my daughter. She is a recent college graduate and she is confused about her life and what she should be doing. She carries a lot of anger and bitterness. Please pray that she hears the word of God and that she will let him direct her path.

K. Willis – This family requested prayer because they are being persecuted in their neighborhood because they are the only Christians. Members of the family are experiencing depression and anxiety as a result. They are also asking for prayer to sell their home. Per the family, “We need prayer for strength, encouragement, wisdom, joy, peace, trust and God’s ultimate WILL in this situation!!” Please pray for this family’s spiritual strength and protection.

B. Robertson - Please pray. My single mother is living in a horrible situation that is putting immense pain and stress on her. She needs a place to live and has a lot of debt. Please pray!

M. Sterrett-Day - Please pray for healing for my dad, David, who recently underwent successful heart surgery, which consisted of a triple bypass, mitral value replacement and an aorta root replacement.

D. Robertson - I am praying that somehow I will be able to receive a car soon. I am able to pay the car insurance and tags and title but I currently cannot afford much a car payment or an expensive car. I’m asking for a blessing nothing much but something that can get me from point A to point B.
